Ashley Graham Is So Gorgeous Makeup-Free
Ashley Graham has built a successful career challenging beauty standards, so it's hardly surprising that she's not just about sharing professional glamour shots. For the model and mom of three, posting unedited photos isn't just about proving how gorgeous she is without makeup, it's her way of promoting her message of self love and acceptance. "That's why I always tell women: Just be who you are. Don't retouch your photos," she told Today in 2019. "Talk to yourself in the mirror. It's only going to change your attitude toward your body."
Over the years, Graham's many unedited social media pics have shown she practices what she preaches, which is pretty impressive given just how critical the dark side of modeling can be. In a 2019 "Go To Bed With Me" with Harper's Bazaar, she revealed that she had combination skin and took as much care winding down for the day as she did getting ready. She also shared that she makes sure to take her makeup off at night and never uses any products that can change her natural features. While her routine included some luxury brands like Retrouvé and DefenAge, she's a huge fan of Bioderma and Aquaphor, which are some of the most popular drugstore skincare products that celebs use.
As to how she built her skincare routine, the model told fans it was a method built on experiments. "I have taken my beauty system from different people. Either it's makeup artists or my dermatologist, my friends, my mom, and I've figured it out for myself because not everybody's skin is the same, so you have to figure it out for yourself, and it's trial and error." This beauty approach might have been based on hits and misses, but there's no doubt it works given how stunning she looks without any makeup on.
