What Iconic '70s Supermodel Lauren Hutton Looks Like Now

Before '90s supermodels graced magazine covers and runways everywhere, there was Lauren Hutton, whose unconventional looks took the '70s by storm. Known for the gap in her teeth and carefree style, the face of Revlon wasn't initially a hit with modeling agencies. While talking to CBS News, she revealed that they told her, "You've got that space between your teeth, your eyes are crossed a lotta the times." She added, "I had to buy a little $300 plastic thing that went there, that I would sneeze out and lose." However, the gap became her signature look, and while there are many OG supermodels you probably won't recognize today, Hutton is still flashing that signature grin she's known for.

While at the "I Feel Pretty" premiere in 2018, Hutton rocked the red carpet with her loose curls pulled back and barely-there makeup — so she was way ahead of the curve on that beauty trend that's perfect for older women. With a crisp white button-up shirt and a black blazer, she was the epitome of the cool girl who doesn't need a lot of primping to look gorgeous. In fact, Hutton doesn't like to rely on makeup to look fabulous, and it's all about letting her natural beauty shine as a mature woman.

Lauren Hutton prefers a natural approach to beauty

Whether out and about or on the red carpet, you'll rarely see Lauren Hutton with loads of makeup, and that's because she was forced to wear dramatic looks during her early modeling days, per Vogue

Now, she gives herself less than 15 minutes to do her face and is all about the bare minimum skincare routine that will still give you results. "I used soap and water for years and years. That was about the main thing that I would do, and it would be a big deal if I got into cleansers and things. But now my skin — I guess from so much sun and age — has gotten rough and funny-looking," Hutton admitted. She relies on retinol and a matte moisturizer as a 70+ year old to help hydrate her skin without highlighting her fine lines.

Back in 1974, Hutton was asked on "60 Minutes" how she felt about aging, to which she replied, "I don't believe that your looks go." She added, "I intend to be fantastic looking when I'm 80. I intend to be one of the best-looking old ladies that anybody's ever seen."
