The Real-Life Partners Of When Calls The Heart's Leading Ladies
Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart" is one of the network's most successful series with 13 seasons to date. Based on Janette Oke's bestselling book series of the same name, the show shines a light on love after loss, as mom and widow Elizabeth Thornton navigates life in the Canadian West town Hope Valley. The schoolteacher's journey also introduces us to the lives and relationships of other characters like her best friend Rosemary Coulter, a working mom married to businessman Leland Coulter, and Faith Carter, a nurse turned doctor dealing with a series of unexpected romantic dilemmas.
After more than a decade on air, "When Calls the Heart" has built a loyal fanbase known as "Hearties." Proof of its audience's loyalty, the network has announced the show's renewal for Season 14, with original cast member Lori Loughlin, who's no stranger to cosmetic tweaks, returning as Abigail Stanton. With romance at the core of the show, fans have not only become invested in the love lives of the show's leading characters but those of the ladies who play them as well. Here are the real-life partners of the "When Calls the Heart" leading ladies.
Erin Krakow is married to Hallmark costar Ben Rosenbaum
Erin Krakow, who plays the leading role of Elizabeth Thornton, found love on the set of "When Calls the Heart" with co-star Ben Rosenbaum. Her husband is known for his role as Mike Hickam, who becomes the mayor of Hope Valley. The duo, who have different romantic interests on the show, made their relationship Instagram official in February 2024, before they announced their marriage in June 2025.
While many celebrities have embraced being single, Krakow talked about the love in the air on the "When Calls the Heart" set. "I do think there's just something special about the show and the people involved," the actor told People. "When you put a bunch of special people together in one place, connections are bound to be made." Krakow and Rosenbaum welcomed their first child together in April 2026, and expanding their family has only made their relationship stronger. "We are loving our roles as parents, and it feels like being parents together has only deepened our partnership," Krakow and Rosenbaum told People in a different interview.
Pascale Hutton is married to former actor Danny Dorosh
"When Calls the Heart" star Pascale Hutton and "It Must Be Love" star Danny Dorosh, who met when Hutton was just 19 years old, had a small wedding in June 2003. Hutton recalled her husband's love-at-first-sight commentary when they met. "He just looked at me, and he said, 'I want you to know you are the woman I'm gonna marry,'" she told Hallmark during a 2018 interview to promote "The Perfect Bride: Wedding Bells."

While Hutton, who's best known for her role as Rosemary Coulter, has shared few details about her relationship, she did give a little bit of insight about her nuptials during a 2018 promotional interview with Media Village. "I had a very small wedding at our lakeside cabin, my husband and I wanted it to be intimate and simple," she recalled. The couple share two children, whom she said adore Dorosh. "They think he is the best person who has ever walked the earth," the Hallmark star told My Devotional Thoughts.
Andrea Brooks is married to an attorney
Hallmark star Andrea Brooks married attorney Riley Graydon in the fall of 2018. The actor doesn't post photos of her husband on her social media, as the two reportedly agreed to keep many aspects of their relationship private. Known for her role on "When Calls the Heart" as Faith Carter, Brooks told My Devotional Thoughts, "It's tough, and especially so when you're not with someone who is also in the entertainment industry. We have decided to keep some things separate, and that is what works for us."
Brooks, who dug deep into her family history to name her daughter, and Graydon share three children — two boys, Levon and Angus, and a girl, Viola. The couple's privacy boundaries extend to their children, with Brooks only occasionally sharing faceless photos of them on Instagram. "Since becoming a mom, my roles, especially in the Hallmark movies, have meant so much more to me," Brooks told TV Fanatic in 2023. "[Viola] does watch episodes of 'When Calls the Heart.' She watches pieces of the movies that I do, and that we can share that experience is amazing. It makes everything more important. I appreciate my time on set a lot more."
While successful relationships can be hard to come by, the leading ladies of "When Calls the Heart," and their real-life partners just may prove that true love still exists.
