That year, she attended the Emmys in September wearing a show-stopping red satin dress with a thigh slit and plunging neckline. With her hair slicked back and a bold necklace, she was clearly fearless on the red carpet, and it paid off. In the summer of 2017, Yvonne Strahovski secretly married fellow actor Tim Loden. The following year, she fell pregnant with her son William. In an interview with Glamour, Strahovski revealed that she was pregnant while filming the first season of "The Handmaid's Tale" and feared that her baby would be impacted by her monstrous character. "I really just didn't want my character, my job, or anything to do with 'The Handmaid's Tale' infiltrating this baby inside of me," Strahovski said.

At the 2018 Emmy Awards, Yvonne Strahovski stepped onto the red carpet wearing a glossy maternity gown that gave her a refined, sophisticated aesthetic and nodded to her growing success in Hollywood. Flowing wide sleeves gave her ensemble an effortless and calm allure and she completed her look with a glamorous side-swept hairdo and crystal bracelets. Clutching onto her round baby bump, Strahovski also hinted that becoming an Emmy nominee wasn't the only new chapter she was about to enter.

They say motherhood takes a village, and with support from her husband, Strahovski swiftly returned to work after giving birth to her first baby that October, hopefully without the overwhelming parental guilt that many working moms experience. "I was running in between the set and my trailer, breastfeeding on demand and doing scene work," she explained to Glamour. She went on to welcome two more children: a second son in 2021 and a third son in 2023. But embracing motherhood didn't mean that Strahovski would stop having fun on the red carpet. At the 2025 Gotham Television Awards, the actor wore a sophisticated ensemble, featuring a glossy white blazer, a white shirt, and a sparkly tie.

In recent years, Strahovski's priorities have shifted significantly. In 2025, after wrapping her role on "The Handmaid's Tale," she decided to take a break from film and return to the stage. Despite making her Broadway debut way back in 2012, it was announced in 2026 that Strahovski was cast in Richard Greenberg's play "Three Days of Rain."
