Demi Moore Throws Out The Mother-Of-The-Bride Style Rulebook For Daughter Tallulah's Wedding
Demi Moore is officially a mother-in-law, and she celebrated in an unconventional 'fit. Her daughter, Tallulah Willis, wed musician Justin Acee on August 8, wearing a gorgeous white custom-made Balenciaga gown with a fitted bodice and draped front. The "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" star, on the other hand, went the non-traditional route with a simpler look.
In an Instagram post shared by producer Heather Parry, Moore was seen sitting in a chair wearing a very light-colored cocktail dress. It's hard to tell if her dress is white or mint-green (a color Tallulah's bridesmaids also wore), but even if it is green, the shade is easy to mistake as white, which is still a big no-no at weddings. In her hands were a pair of white stilettos, and on her feet a pair of simple flats, probably because she didn't want to dance the night away in uncomfortable heels (a footwear mistake you don't want to make as a mother-of-the-bride). Even if her dress isn't white, the entire look was still super laid back for the second most important woman of the day.
Moore is no stranger to couture outfits, and her 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar party gown actually inspired Tallulah's wedding look. "It was [a] beautiful, black, super simple sheath, but it had that really sculptural Balenciaga [neckline]. When I first tried on the original iteration [of my wedding dress], it was flat across [the neckline], and I just thought, wouldn't it be so beautiful to have no necklace and nothing up here, but just the shape," the bride told Vogue. That black dress would have been a more appropriate mother-of-the-bride gown for a lavish wedding like Tallulah's, especially as it's on the other end of the color spectrum. Moore also made another fashion faux pas a few weeks earlier at another star-studded celeb wedding.

The deep shade looked amazing against her dark brunette hair, which she wore loose, and there was no way this hue could be mistaken for white. While pastels are generally acceptable for weddings, some colors can photograph white, so when in doubt, we say go for a darker 'fit.
