A TV Western is nothing without a little drama and romance, which Netflix's "Ransom Canyon" series has in spades. Based on the contemporary Western romance book series by Jodi Thomas, the perfectly soapy TV adaptation was created by April Blair, who has turned the story into a bingeable Netflix sensation. The cast is full of dreamy stars who surely know how to rock a cowboy hat, like Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, and James Brolin, to name a few. With a second season released in July 2026, "Ransom Canyon" undoubtedly has fans hooked on small-town drama and steamy cowboy romance, but the love stories aren't just rolling out on screen. Just like Dutton Ranch's leading ladies have adorable real-life romances, the women on "Ransom Canyon" also have their own love lives away from the show that are worth keeping up with.

Since the popular series debuted on Netflix in 2025, fans have been following along with the tangled love lives of some of their favorite female characters, like Quinn O'Grady (played by Minka Kelly), Lauren Brigman (Lizzy Greene), and Ellie Catawnee (Marianly Tejada). But while their characters' storylines are full of unspoken romantic tension, love triangles, and turbulent, high-stakes relationships, the actors' off-screen love lives are far less complicated. From stable dating relationships to decades-long marriages, the "Ransom Canyon" women certainly seem to have things handled in the romance department.

Minka Kelly has been in a relationship with Dan Reynolds since 2022

Minka Kelly's character, Quinn O'Grady, doesn't have the simplest romantic history on "Ransom Canyon," but the actor's real-life relationship is far less messy. Since 2022, Kelly has been dating Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds, the voice behind massive hits like "Radioactive" and "Believer." The two were first connected by a mutual friend, and their relationship started out as long-distance phone calls while Kelly was working out of the country. Reynolds would send Kelly songs he was working on, and she reciprocated by sending him rough drafts of her 2023 memoir, "Tell Me Everything" — and the rest was history. "After about a month we met in person, and ever since then, we've been attached at the hip," Reynolds told People in July 2024. "Minka and I are in a really happy, healthy relationship." The "Thunder" artist even made a cameo in an episode of "Ransom Canyon," appearing as cattle buyer Billy Brinks during Season 1.

Prior to his romance with Kelly, Reynolds was married to ex-wife Aja Volkman, with whom he shares four children: daughters Arrow, Gia, and Coco, and son Valentine. "The kids really love Minka and really love their mom, and that's okay," Reynolds explained to the outlet. "We view it as kind of bonuses to the family: more people to love, more people to help." Noting that they have been "really careful and slow" with bringing Kelly into the family fold, Reynolds said of the "Euphoria" actor, "She's done a really incredible job of being sensitive and careful on her end as well." As for Kelly, she's had equally good things to say about Reynolds. Sharing a selfie of the pair on Instagram in July 2025, Kelly wrote, "This beautiful man has healed wounds in me he did not inflict — simply by being himself."

Lizzy Greene is dating dancer Sean Lew

On "Ransom Canyon," Lizzy Greene plays Lauren Brigman, the sheriff's daughter and head cheerleader who winds up in a complicated love triangle with brothers Lucas and Kit Russell (played by Garrett Wareing and Casey W. Johnson, respectively). In her real life, however, Greene only has one love interest: her boyfriend Sean Lew. Greene has known Lew, a dancer and choreographer, since they were kids, as they both worked on Nickelodeon during their time as child stars. Greene landed her breakout role as Dawn Harper on Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, which ran for four seasons between 2014 and 2018. She was only 11 years old when the show premiered, but she has since joined the ranks of child stars who grew up to be gorgeous. Lew eventually made an appearance on the same Nickelodeon show, briefly starring as Jono for two episodes during Season 2.

As adults, Greene and Lew have sparked a sweet, passionate romance that is frequently highlighted on their respective social media pages. While celebrating Lew's birthday in November 2025, Greene took to Instagram to share photo booth snaps of the smitten pair, along with a caption full of heartfelt lines like, "Just as you tailor life so beautifully for others, you are tailor made for me," and, "If only every girl could have a seany." Lew shared an equally adorable Instagram post in honor of Greene's birthday in May 2026, where he wrote, "I thank God every single day for the way you love, for the way you try, for the way you are — not striving for perfection but to be the realest, softest, and strongest girl i've ever known."

Marianly Tejada is married to former baseball player Steve Bean

Marianly Tejada is known for her role on "Ransom Canyon" as Ellie Catawnee, a character with plenty of complexities in her love life — but the actor's real-life relationship isn't so complicated. She is married to former pro baseball player and MLB agent Steve Bean, and though they keep many of the details of their relationship private, her husband doesn't shy away from hyping up his wife on social media. In July 2025, he shared an Instagram selfie of the two smiling with cowboy hats on to celebrate Tejada's birthday, referring to the actor as his "queen." He added in the caption, "Another year of you being effortlessly amazing. I'm so proud to do life with you. Let's keep it rolling. I love you."

Although Tejada hasn't formally announced that she recently became a mom, showrunner April Blair confirmed that Tejada was pregnant during the filming of Season 2, and her pregnancy was ultimately written into Ellie's storyline. "I think a few months before we started shooting, she let me know that she was pregnant, which is great news and fun, but it was not the story we had planned for Season 2," Blair told TV Insider in July 2026. "Because of how pregnant Mar was when we were going to start filming — I think her due date was actually the week we wrapped — it would be very difficult to hide it. We had a different story for Ellie [...] but once we realized we weren't going to be able to hide the pregnancy, we needed to write it in. We had to make some story shifts. It was a scramble at the beginning of the season to make that happen, but I think it turned out great."

Kate Burton has been married to Michael Ritchie for over 40 years

Kate Burton appears in a few episodes of "Ransom Canyon" in the recurring role of Katherine Bullock, a New York City music director and Quinn O'Grady's former piano mentor. Her limited storyline prevents us from learning anything about her character's love life, but beyond the screen, Burton's real-life romance is quite a success story. She has been happily married to longtime husband Michael Ritchie for more than 4 decades, putting the stage and screen star among the group of celebs who have been married for over 30 years.

Burton met Ritchie, a theater producer and artistic director, in 1982, while he was stage managing a Broadway production and she was still a student at the Yale School of Drama. They were married just three years later in 1985, and have welcomed two children together: son Morgan Ritchie and daughter Charlotte Frances Ritchie. By the early to mid-2000s, Burton and her husband relocated to Los Angeles after Ritchie was offered a position as the Artistic Director at the Center Theatre Group. The move ended up working in Burton's favor, allowing her to land recurring roles on hit series like "Scandal" and "Grey's Anatomy," along with several other notable TV and film roles — all while still finding time to perform in stage productions.
