You may not remember the star power of Marilu Henner in the '70s and '80s, but she does. The actor, known for her breakout role in "Taxi" from 1978 to 1983, has hyperthymesia, which means she can recall every day of her life since childhood. And if you ask her a specific date from the past, she can tell you what day of the week it was and what she was doing. Memories aside, Henner, who turned 74 in April 2026, is still going strong in Hollywood. Is she one of the celebrities who proudly show off their gray hair? Nope. She is sticking with her signature red hair, for the time being at least. And is she one of the celebs still rocking her '80s hairstyle today with its big volume? Also a no. Nowadays, Henner, photographed at a Hallmark Channel celebration in August 2026, is still wearing her signature red hair long, but it's tamer than it was in the 1980s and she's added a long wispy bang as well.
Although Henner has toned down some of her '80s-coded makeup, she still leans into blush to accentuate her gorgeous cheekbones. And her eyebrows are still in her signature thin arch, which serves to give her eye area a lifted appearance.
Healthy living is a pillar of '80s star Marilu Henner's beauty regimen
Looking at '80s star Marilu Henner then and now, it's clear she's among the boomer actors who've aged like fine wine. And a big part of that is her approach to healthy living. Citing her parents' early deaths in their 50s in a 2020 interview with Parade, she was motivated to pursue a healthier lifestyle than they did. She has since co-authored several books, with the majority focusing on healthy living, like her bestseller "Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover." In it, she discusses how to eat a clean, toxin-free diet, which she attributes her glowing complexion to. She's also a huge advocate for drinking plenty of water, and has been a fan of skin brushing since before it was trendy. The Hallmark Channel regular also told LifeMinute that she avoids consuming dairy as part of her wellness approach. "My skin, everything changed after I gave up dairy products," she told the outlet.
Henner is also a big advocate of exercise, even if it's just doing squats while waiting in line. She has said her energy levels are better later in life than they were back in the '70s when she would drink two gallons of diet soda TaB each day. And she can tell you about those exact days if you ask her.
