Kimberly Williams-Paisley Highlighted Diane Keaton's Quirky Signature Style With Auction Buys

Kimberly Williams-Paisley used fashion to reconnect with the late Diane Keaton, her onscreen mom in both "Father of the Bride" films. The pair shared a longstanding bond in Hollywood following their supporting roles in the Steve Martin-led family comedies in 1991 and 1995. While it had been decades since they played mother and daughter, Williams-Paisley still found a special way to keep Keaton close to her following her passing in October 2025. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the "9-1-1 Nashville" star revealed the fashionable pieces from Keaton's closet that she snagged at an auction. "Recently I bought this hat and gloves from the Diane Keaton auction," Williams-Paisley captioned her post. "I'm so happy to have some of her iconic style with me."

The photos showed how Williams-Paisley styled a pair of black gloves and a brown hat she purchased at the auction with a suit jacket and pants. Keaton's hat was adorned with the phrase "No More War" along with skull and crossbones patches that Keaton had customized herself. Williams-Paisley also shared a video of a bald eagle who stopped by to watch her photoshoot from a nearby tree. "It definitely felt like Diane's energy was around us!" Williams-Paisley shared in her caption. The "According to Jim" star returned to Instagram a week later to share photos of the black gloves she also got at the Keaton auction, one with the word "F—" and the other with the word "Off." The fashionable auction pieces stand as a living testament to Diane Keaton's transformation into a Hollywood style icon.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley received a small fashion item from Diane Keaton as a gift

Kimberly Williams-Paisley might've been moved to find fashionable mementos from Diane Keaton, since the late actor gifted her a chic accessory during their time filming "Father of the Bride." Williams-Paisley appeared on the "Call It What It Is" podcast shortly after Keaton's passing where she opened up about the lapel pin "The Godfather" star gifted her after filming. "I actually took a gift from Diane," Williams-Paisley revealed (via People), noting that the pin wasn't a prop from their film but a piece that Keaton had given her herself.

Diane Keaton was regarded for how she turned her insecurities into an iconic look, making bold hats, belts, tailored suits, and long skirts her signature. With memorable quotes where Keaton encouraged others to embrace their own feelings about beauty, she lived up to her philosophy, opening eyes to how fashion could become a source of confidence for those navigating body image insecurities. "A coat gives me the opportunity to make my own decision about how my waist will look. I lock myself in with a nice big belt," Keaton told The Gloss. Now with a collection of pieces from Keaton's wardrobe, Williams-Paisley has the opportunity to carry on the late style icon's legacy while putting her own spin on the timeless looks.
