Born in her family's log cabin in Locust Ridge, Tennessee, in 1946, Parton was one of 12 children. Dolly Parton always knew how to see the best in everyone, and a 2018 "Good Morning America" interview with Jennifer Aniston to promote their Netflix original film, "Dumplin'," captured that spirit perfectly. Aniston asked her co-star what message she hopes the film will relay to viewers, and Parton didn't hesitate to answer. 

"You don't have to look like everybody else. You don't have to be a raving beauty to be special and to be beautiful," the country legend said. Aniston was in complete agreement, nodding along to Parton's empowering words. The "Jolene" singer had a special power, and it was the ability to deliver a line with such effortless grace and conviction that you couldn't help but believe every word she said.
