Dolly Parton's Famous Sister Stella, 77, Is Still So Stunning Today
Throughout her life, Dolly Parton was steadfastly dedicated to her family, including her 11 siblings. Given how often the country legend discussed her upbringing over the years, many have wondered, who are Dolly Parton's sisters? One of Dolly's younger sisters, Stella Parton, followed in her iconic sibling's footsteps and embarked on a career in music and entertainment. Since the 1960s, Stella has released over 30 albums and appeared in several film and television projects. While hosting her Red Tent Women's Conference in 2014, Stella was accompanied by Dolly — and both looked absolutely stunning in flashy red ensembles. Though the event was over a decade ago, Stella, now 77 years old, is still looking just as gorgeous as her late big sister. Stella has kept much about her look the same (she continues to flaunt her loose curls), but maintains a modern aesthetic for 2026.
In one Instagram video from August 2026, Stella showed her followers how to make the perfect buttermilk cornbread. While fans in the comment section appreciated the singer's useful cooking tips, we're obsessed with Stella's style. Stella layered a denim jacket with rolled-up sleeves over a sheer long-sleeved top; the chic look proved that she should join the ranks of the over-70 fashion icons who are still teaching us valuable style tips. Stella regularly posts trendy looks on her Instagram account, simultaneously showcasing her smooth skin and boho-chic curls. While Dolly Parton will be remembered as a fashion icon thanks to her stunning looks, Stella is keeping her sister's style legacy alive with her individual aesthetic.
Stella Parton recently discussed her and Dolly Parton's weekly ritual
Dolly Parton and her sister Stella Parton both remained absolutely stunning well into their 70s. The two sisters maintained their close relationship throughout their respective careers in music and entertainment. Stella reflected on her sister's recent passing in an August 2026 statement, revealing how the two busy stars kept in touch. "Every Tuesday about this time, before the sun came up and the world was still asleep, she and I, for many years, had our coffee together over the phone," Stella wrote. "My Tuesday morning coffee time will never be the same, but her love, respect and goodness will remain."
During a June 2026 interview with People, Stella explained that the Parton family always navigated life with laughter — something that she and Dolly often used to get through tough times. The Parton siblings experienced much grief over the years. They lost brothers Coy, Floyd, Randy, and David Parton between 2018 and 2026, and Dolly's beloved husband Carl Dean passed away in March 2025. Nevertheless, the family remains close through loss.
During an interview on the talk show "Vicki!" in the 1990s, Stella discussed growing up with Dolly. "Dolly and I are close to the same age. She's three and a half years older than I am," Stella said. "I was kind of a pain in the butt to her ... Because I was so close in age to her, I always wanted to do everything that she was doing ... I love her a lot, she loves me a lot, and I think we're a lot alike." While sweet pictures of Dolly Parton and her many siblings are rare, looking at Stella and Dolly side by side shows just how close the sisters were even as they grew older.
