Andie MacDowell's Famous Daughters Are Just As Stunning As Their Mom

A look back at Andie MacDowell's early red-carpet moments with her daughters shows just how beautifully Rainey and Margaret Qualley have taken after the screen star. The proud mom has watched both of her daughters follow in her showbiz footsteps, with Rainey also releasing music under her birth name, Rainsford. Andie MacDowell stunned on the red carpet with her daughters Rainey and Margaret Qualley, but now the sisters are carving out their own paths in Hollywood, hitting red carpets solo while showcasing the radiant beauty they inherited from their mom.

Rainey stood out when attending Bloomingdales' California Love celebration in May 2026. The "Me and Johnny Cash" singer glowed in a coral ombré minidress, pairing the look with a shimmery handbag and nude open-toe heels. Months later, Margaret was a red-carpet sensation at "The Dog Stars" premiere in London, where she turned heads in a Chanel ensemble featuring a delicate fringed dress and black Chanel barefoot sandals that sent social media into a frenzy. The breakout star exuded confidence in the daring look, a testament to the support she receives from her mom. MacDowell has even joked about benefitting from "reverse nepotism" thanks to her daughters. "They always accuse the children of [nepotism], but I'm now cool, because I'm Margaret Qualley's mom," MacDowell said on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." (For the record, we also think it's cool that Andie MacDowell has had such a gorgeous gray hair transformation).

Rainey Qualley praised her mom, Andie MacDowell, and sister, Margaret Qualley, when reflecting on her 75-hour labor with daughter Bluebell Coyote Wilson. Rainey welcomed Bluebell with husband Anthony Wilson in December 2024, and recalled how Margaret flew across the country to be by her side. "They're both just the best," Rainey told E! News. "My sister flew in from New York right before I was due." The family is clearly very close, though we don't know if they're among the mother-daughter duos in Hollywood with matching tattoos.

The Qualley girls first started acting alongside their mom in separate projects, MacDowell appearing with Rainey in the 2012 film "Mighty Fine" and later playing Margaret's mother in Netflix's "Maid." These days, Rainey and Margaret work together to perfect their onscreen performances. "My sister and I will run lines together a lot and just help each other with scenes, help each other with self-tapes" Rainey shared, reeling over how lucky she is to have "someone that's in the world and understands what you're doing." 

As both sisters forge their own paths in entertainment, with Margaret rising to new heights following her Golden Globe-nominated performance in "The Substance" and Rainey balancing music, film, and motherhood, MacDowell has every reason to be proud of her girls, and she champions them along the way. "She's very supportive. Of course, like any parents would be, she has moments where she's like, 'Don't you just want to have a normal life and be away from the spotlight?' But, especially now that things are really starting to happen, she's psyched," Rainey told E! News in 2015.
