Easily Recreate These Makeup Looks Inspired By The Biggest Blond Bombshells Of All Time

When we hear the phrase "blond bombshell," several names instantly come to mind. Old Hollywood had no shortage of light-haired sirens with iconic looks that you can recreate. Stars like Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield paved the way for many gorgeous blond women to flaunt their beauty. Although rare throwback pics of Monroe prove she wasn't always a blond bombshell, a makeover soon gave her the platinum strands she was known for. The late actor added a sultry aesthetic with her signature makeup, favoring red lipstick and bedroom eyes.

Modern-day blond bombshells, such as Pamela Anderson and Sabrina Carpenter, have found their own iconic look that many have tried to recreate, and you can too with some helpful tips. Although Anderson prefers a makeup-free face now, many of my clients requested the "Baywatch" star's '90s smoky eye during my years as a makeup artist. From applying the perfect red pout to gorgeously blended blush, here are all the ways you can replicate your fave blond bombshell makeup looks.

Marilyn Monroe may have been known for her crimson lips, but other subtle elements also added to her overall look. For one, she achieved her glowing skin with a layer of Vaseline under her foundation. While that's one way to recreate Monroe's look, there are other types of makeup to use for the dewiest skin of your life. After moisturizing your skin, apply a shimmery primer all over, paying attention to the high points of your face, and then follow with a dewy foundation. You can apply finishing powder on certain areas, such as the middle of your forehead and under-eye area, but the "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" star had an overall sheen that reflected the light and gave her face a dimensional finish.

Monroe didn't use much eyeshadow other than a white shade on her lids, but she enhanced her eyes with a half-strip of falsies and brown liner. It's important to note that, along with a slight wing, she liked to draw a short line on the outer corners of her lower lids to elongate them. When filling in your brows, leave the inner parts spare and focus on making a peak above your brow bone. Finally, fill in the outer parts of your mouth with a dark red lipstick and use a lighter shade for the middle for that pillowy pout.

Pamela Anderson was one of the biggest bombshells of the '90s and Y2K era thanks to her bold, unapologetic beauty. I love her earlier looks from back then, as they were so glamorously rock and roll. At the time, matte skin was in, so to recreate her look, you must start with a satin-finish foundation, followed by a dusting of finishing powder. To really nail Anderson's makeup, you need to embrace the skinny brow trend without picking up the tweezers. In order to achieve this, apply a glue stick over your brows and then cover them with concealer. Once it's set, draw your brows in a thin, rounded shape, keeping the line uniform.

Anderson rocked a smoky eye like no other, and she used black liner to elongate them at the outer corners. Brush a dark gray shadow along the crease and extend it outward for that sleek, cat-eye look. The "Last Showgirl" star often wore false lashes then, so you can either add a pair or use several coats of dark black mascara. She usually favored pink or neutral lipstick, so either one is fine, but be sure to overline your lips with a slightly darker pencil as she did. Top off your pout with a hint of shiny gloss, and you'll be channeling your inner Anderson circa 1990.

No other blond bombshell had fun with her makeup as much as the late, great Dolly Parton. The Country Queen was always seen with her face completely done and didn't shy away from bright colors. One particular look I love was the pink and blue eyeshadow she wore several times in 2025, as it was so cheery, just like Parton's personality. Start with an even layer of satin foundation, and apply concealer, followed by a primer on the lids. Using a flat, damp brush, add a sky blue shadow on the inner and outer corners. Next, take a different brush and gently tap on a bright pink shade in the middle. It doesn't have to be perfectly uniform, as Parton's had a watercolor effect. Glue on a set of false lashes, line your top lids with black eyeliner, and finish off your eyes with a cobalt blue liner on the bottom.

Parton was usually seen in red lipstick, but that would have clashed with her pastel eyeshadow for this glam. Instead, a rosy hue suited the look better. Parton was also a fan of overdrawing her lips, so be sure to really exaggerate the lines to mimic the "Jolene" singer's full mouth. To finish off this look, lightly brush a pinkish-beige blush on the apples of your cheeks and toward the temples.

As a celeb who's frequently on the red carpet, Sabrina Carpenter changes up her look all the time. However, the one thing that remains the same is her love for bright blush. While at the Dior Cruise 2027 fashion show in May, the "Espresso" singer rocked a watermelon-pink blush shade on her cheekbones. To get her glowy flush, place two or three dots of liquid blush on the highest points of your cheeks and blend it upward in a circular motion with a fluffy brush to create a soft, diffused effect. Don't be afraid to bring the color up, just underneath the eyes and across the bridge of your nose, for that doll-like finish Carpenter is known for.

Carpenter also likes a strong brow, with hers several shades darker than her hair. More specifically, it looks like she uses a powder, concentrating the color in the middle and ends. If you're trying it out, use a stiff angled brush and make sure to really get the powder underneath the hairs, and not just on top, to create dimension. The former Disney star kept her eye makeup minimal for the Dior event, with just a whisper of pink shadow on her lids and white shimmer highlighter along the inner corners. Very easy to recreate. Finally, using a deep pink lip pencil, really exaggerate the outline, going slightly above your Cupid's bow, and then fill in your lips with a matte lipstick slightly lighter than your pencil. Blot with a tissue once, and you'll be all set to sing, "That's that me espresso."

Brigitte Bardot was perhaps the biggest blond bombshell of the '50s and '60s, and she carried her sex-kitten card well into her older years. Her large doe eyes were enhanced with winged dark black liner that enhanced their almond shape, which looks best drawn on with either a liquid or gel liner, as you need to be super precise. I find using a gel liner more forgiving, and I apply it with a very thin angled brush starting from the inner corners. When you reach the ends, give it a little upward flick to create a sultry cat eye. Add a pair of wispy falsies, but make sure they're super natural, as this isn't a heavy '60s mod look.

Bardot was also known for her nude lips, which she plumped up using light and dark shades. To recreate this, line your lips first with a medium beige shade, stopping just before the corners. This creates shadows on the top and bottom to make your lips appear fuller. Then, use a lighter peachy-beige lipstick all over, followed by a bit of highlighter on the Cupid's bow and the center of your bottom lip for that bee-stung effect.
