Linda Gray Stunned On Dallas - What The '80s Star Looks Like Now

Linda Gray stunned viewers with her appearance in the role of Sue Ellen Ewing in the 1978 CBS soap opera "Dallas," and continues to do so today. Being beautiful was basically a prerequisite for the role, considering Sue Ellen Ewing was not only the wife of Larry Hagman's rich and lustful J.R. Ewing, but also held the title of Miss Texas in 1967. While Gray's hair was solid brown for some of the series, she eventually embraced some blond highlights and edgier feathered 'dos, an '80s hair trend you can still wear today. Though less voluminous than the styles of her heyday, the actor, who turned 85 in 2025, wears her hair in a similar fashion today. Occasionally sharing photos of herself on her Instagram and appearing on red carpets, Gray still boasts layered brown hair and a classy, timeless wardrobe.

The "Dallas" actor has also been loyal to her signature makeup shades for decades, wearing orange-based hues of nude on her lips and cheeks to this day. In August 2026, Gray stunned in an Instagram post wearing a lipstick shade called Beverly Hills #13 from her makeup artist's upcoming line with Sisley Paris. "She told me many times that it's her all-time favorite lipstick, which makes me beyond happy," makeup artist Patrick Foley captioned the photo of the smiling  "Dallas" star. "I personally love the makeup I did on her on this day. I think it's effortless and beautiful and highlights her amazing bone structure and the eyes just have the right amount of pop." However, the wrong products can give you the wrong kind of pop, and the '80s star knows this from firsthand experience.

TV stars like Kim Catrall, whose favorite face mask helped her glow on-screen, and Sarah Jessica Parker, who uses two words to describe her routine, often love quick, effective beauty moments. "Dallas" alum Linda Gray is no exception to the rule and has a hilarious story to prove it. During a 2026 appearance on the "Celebrity Drop" podcast, the actor shared that while quickly preparing for an impromptu lunch with a friend and Elizabeth Taylor, she picked up the wrong skincare product, thinking it was a moisturizer. "I had put on, inadvertently, a peeling mask for the lunch with Elizabeth Taylor," she recalled the cringy encounter with the late actor, who would later become a good friend. "It was the funniest luncheon, and graciously, nobody said anything."

Still, Gray, who modeled in the '60s, can hold her head high knowing she had long legs that Taylor jokingly envied and a career that precedes her. Today, she's appreciative of her experiences and every part of the life she lives. "I feel very blessed," Gray told Woman's World. "I like to do a 45-minute gratitude walk ... I realize I have to be grateful for every body part, every tree I see, the sky, the clouds ... I know it sounds lightweight but I don't care."
