Folks who were around in the '80s will surely remember Elisabeth Shue, who stole hearts with her breakout roles in "The Karate Kid" and "Adventures in Babysitting." Shue became incredibly popular, not just because of her talent as an actor, but also because of her stunning good looks. Between the '80s and '90s, she graced the covers and pages of several magazines, including Vanity Fair in 1996 and Allure in 1997.

Today, more than four decades after her first appearance in "The Karate Kid," Shue is one of those famous older women who don't seem to age. She looks a lot like she did decades ago and still wears her blond hair shoulder-length, which happens to be one of the best low-maintenance hairstyles for women over 60. One really impressive thing about Shue's brand of beauty is how natural it looks. In an age of increasingly artificial-looking beauty standards, she seems to embrace natural aging and all the benefits that come with it.

The actor isn't particularly active on social media, but she makes occasional red carpet appearances and reminds us that she hasn't lost any of her charm. One of her most recent public events was the world premiere of "Whalefall" in October 2026. She stunned in a short black dress with red floral designs, and the dark hue made her blond hair and fair features pop beautifully. Meanwhile, her black and platform shoes gave us a much-appreciated dash of vintage fashion.

Elisabeth Shue believes in accepting aging and everything that comes with it

Back in 2013, Elisabeth Shue was almost in her 50s when she sat down with The Independent to discuss her approach to beauty, as well as her opinion on several invasive beauty procedures that were becoming mainstream. Speaking about Botox and fillers, she admitted that she didn't view them positively in certain cases. "Every time I've seen anyone who has kind of overdone the treatments I don't think they look younger. I think they look like they've done something to their face," she told the publication. "So even if I was tempted to go that route, what would stop me is that other people [would be] saying, 'What did she have done to her face?'"

Shue, however, did admit that she still had worries about aging at the time. "You can't help it when you turn 40 because it's the first time you really notice your face has changed. You look at yourself in one lighting situation and think you look pretty good, and then all of a sudden you're in another lighting situation and think, 'Oh God, I look terrible.'"

However, she revealed that the turning point for her came when she started to realize that she feared the mirror and had become completely neurotic about it. "You know in some ways there's a relief when you get older that you don't have to look young anymore. You just have to look good for your age." And she certainly does look good, regardless of age. At the "Good Half" premiere in Los Angeles in June 2023, the 59-year-old actor nailed the key tips for wearing jeans over 60, and paired her denim with a white top and a brown jacket with matching shoes.
