Ariana Grande shocked fans when she was spotted wearing a pear-shaped engagement ring from SNL's Pete Davidson mere weeks after the couple confirmed that they were, in fact dating--and now the jeweler behind the massive sparkler is dishing on the custom creation.
TMZ released a close-up of the engagement ring, which was crafted by NYC-based jeweler Greg Yuna, (who's known as "Mr. Flawless"). The site said the engagement ring took two weeks to make and cost a whopping $93,000. The pear-shaped diamond is set in a diamond platinum band and features a diamond halo.
What's even more surprising is the fact that Grande was wearing what appears to be the ring when she performed at Wango Tango on June 2, a full week before the news became official, where she sported the diamond on that finger while she performed and as she greeted fans backstage. A few days later at the listening party for Kid Cudi and Kanye West's joint album, Kids See Ghosts, she gave an interview to Real 92.3's Big Boy and stealthily tried to conceal her blinding new bling during their conversation, (which you can watch below). Grande attended the event with Davidson.
Both Grande and Davidson were in serious long-term relationships before they became a couple. The "Dangerous Woman" singer dated rapper Mac Miller for two years before they called it quits just last month, while Davidson was in a two-year relationship with Cazzie David, Larry David's daughter.
While the pair only recently started dating, a source close to the couple confirmed the engagement news to PEOPLE. “It’s a recent engagement. They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding,” the source said.
Although they've been enjoying a whirlwind romance, sources told the mag that they're planning a long engagement.
