Golden Globes 2014: Michelle Dockery Channels Grace Kelly
Lady Mary Crawley, we mean Michelle Dockery, glittered on the Golden Globes red carpet in Oscar de la Renta. She stuck to a classic Hollywood look á la Grace Kelly to pair with her glimmering gown, thanks to Jordan Long and Sascha Breur.
Starting with her smooth tresses, Bruer first applied Davines More Inside This is a Sea Salt Spray to the roots of Dockery’s towel-dried hair, and blow-dried it with a round brush for loose volume. Once dry, he curled the hair in 1-inch sections with a 1-inch curling iron, starting from the back. He rubbed a small drop of the brand’s This is An Invisible Serum before breaking up the curls, leaving a few loose strands around the face. Once her hair had the right shape and texture Bruer sealed the style with a spritz of the This is a Medium Hairspray for shine and bounce.
Long prepped the skin by applying a tiny amount of Votre Vu’s Attentive Crème du Jour over the face and neck and the Luxee Yeux Eye Beauty Balm around the eyes. After applying foundation and concealer, she then stippled the brand’s Vu-On Rouge in Ma Cherry on the cheeks before dusting the Beaute en Bronze in Monaco forehead and the curve of the cheekbone. For the eyes, Long applied the dusty pink shade from the Palette in Play in Violette on the lids up to the crease for a soft smokey eye, layering on the dark purple from the same palette and blending them together. The concentrated the lcolor on both the top and bottom lash lines before applying the Le Joli Crayon in Aubergine and Charbon on the top lash line before blending it out. For a bright eye look she also used the Palette in Play in Cooper at the inner corner and underneath the brow, finishing the look with a brow fill, false lashes, and a few coats of mascara. To polish off the look, Long crafted the cherry lip using the brand’s French Kiss in Chloe and applied the Amour D’Ore oil over her décolleté and should for added sheen.
