They’re the best (and worst...if we're talking about breathing) things ever to happen to women’s fashion. Spanx, in all their glory, have been helping us look fit and fabulous in out clingiest of clothing and now, the company is moving on to denim.
While Spanx founder Sara Blakely isn’t quite onto full-body Spanx just yet (which women request all too often), she’s found the next step with jeans. The brand is set to debut two styles of jeans in July: the Signature, a high, wide waistband with a size zipper for a smooth fit and the Slim X, a traditional five-pocket jean with a stomach control panel. The jeans will be sold for $148 in skinny, straight and boot-cut silhouettes. “I see Spanx as a lifestyle brand that is delighting women in making things fit better and feel better on the body and not just through compression,” Blakely told WWD. “We’re known for making you look thinner and more toned, but it can just be about a better cut and fit.” So, is this the miracle jean we’ve all been waiting for? Seems like it.
