Style Scoop: Givenchy Releases Spring Campaign Video, Cressida Bonas Dances With Mulberry, Maison Martin Margiela Drops Its Middle Name


Riccardo Tisci is “sure there’s going to be a lot of people talking about this one.” Givenchy released a Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott-directed video as part of the house’s spring campaign (the print component of which stars Julia Roberts), and it’s, to quote Tisci again, “quite strong, quite erotic, with girls and boys in the woods at night.” Imaan Hammam, Mica Arganaraz, Alessio Possi and a second male model star in the video, which uses only trees and an old motorcycle as props. We know her first and foremost for once being linked to Prince Harry, but Cressida Bonas has a new role to play now: the new ambassador of Mulberry. The 26-year-old was cast in the campaign after talent spotters saw her perform at the University of Leeds where she studied dance. John Galliano’s designs certainly made a splash on Monday at his first Maison Martin Margiela couture show—but there’s one detail the fashion world didn’t pay close attention to: the house’s name simplification. With the addition of Galliano, the house subtracted its middle name, Martin. The house played it off as NBD, resulting in a more seamless transition than other name changes we’ve seen recently—like, say, Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent Paris. [Fashionista]

Harry Winston will become the main corporate sponsor of the amFAR gala for the next three years, garnering more international exposure and continued support from Hollywood. “Celebrity attendees allow our message a platform we would otherwise not be afforded.
