You saw the proposal, but have most likely been unable to breathe because you couldn't find a decent picture of the ring itself. Well, feel free to exhale because IT'S HERE!
The ring probably had nothing to do with Kanye West’s excessive usage of the letter “E” (Is he squeezing in a self-promotion moment to make us think of Yeezus, perhaps? We wouldn’t put it past him.) Alas, Kim Kardashian said “Yes!!!” according to her own Instagram shot of the over-the-top proposal. And, "Yes!!!" it features that ring front-and-center. The photo features the 15-carat rock from her now-fiancee West, which probably sealed the deal.
Kardashian's new engagement ring features a sole 15-carat with no stones flanking the sides (as if one diamond that size could ever be a bad thing). However, the flawless emerald-cut sparkler designed by Lorraine Schwartz is actually smaller than the engagement ring Kimmy received from ex-husband Kris Humphries. That 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring was recently sold during Christie’s New York Magnificent Jewels auction for $749,000, though it was worth $2 million. From cut to color, the two rings may not be all that different, but for a girl who definitely believes that size matters, we can’t help but question if she also believes that her new ring tops the old one. The bottom line is that Kim loved it (and, we presume, loves Kanye) enough to say yes – but which dazzler would you prefer?
