Brittany Mahomes has experienced a stunning style evolution over the years, and it's safe to say she's been slaying lately. However, not all fashionistas get it right all the time, and some of her 'fits have fans wanting to give her a penalty. Take her 2023 ESPY Awards look. While some fans loved her black Versace dress, one commented on her Instagram post, "Listen... I never ever comment on things but your stylist has you in full 80's fashion mode. You are gorgeous either way so do you!" Another observed the odd positioning of the two buttons on her chest and wrote, "She can wear anything really. What designer puts snaps where [the nipples should be]? Again, is no body [sic] looking at this stuff?
Some of her outfits worn to cheer on her husband, Patrick Mahomes, aren't much better. While she won points from us for her simple but chic black-and-white look accessorized with a red handbag as seen in her December 17, 2023, Instagram post, other ensembles could have used an interception by a stylist.
Brittany Mahomes' baseball jacket and black pants were yawn-inspiring
We get that Brittany Mahomes wanted to be comfortable while running after her adorable daughter, Sterling, but her blue and white varsity jacket and black jogger pants were boring. We give her points for her matching Nike sneakers and sporting her husband's name and team number on her outerwear, but other than that, this look was uninspiring. For someone so camera-friendly, this outfit looks like it could have been worn running errands, not being on a Jumbotron. Next.

Brittany Mahomes' black leather biker jacket is trendy and definitely one we would have in our closets, but this jacket with ill-fitting straight-leg jeans and black and gold sneakers is a confusing combination. This 'fit would have looked much better with a tighter cut of pants and knee-high boots. Instead, it's giving "Grease" on top and "The Sandlot" on the bottom. Unfortunately, Mahomes' hair could have used some styling as well, with her messy half-updo not helping matters.

Y2K fashion has been trending for a while, but Brittany Mahomes took the fad a bit too literally for the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears in September 2023. Yes, she was showing her husband some love with his number proudly displayed on her T-shirt, but her baggy wide-leg pants with large pockets on the thighs did nothing for her 'fit. Add a pair of boring white sneakers and bulky silver jewelry, and Brittany looks like she just stepped out of Limited Too 20 years ago.

Is Brittany Mahomes dressed for a carnival or football game? Red and white shorts are a cute summer vibe, and they show off her team spirit for the Chiefs. However, when worn with a white top and matching sneakers, she looks like a popcorn container from a concessions stand. What's even more awkward is that her shirt has sequins, which doesn't go with the casual aesthetic of the shorts. We've got to give her props for her hair, though, which is perfectly wavy and shiny.
Brittany Mahomes is a walking LV ad
If we didn't know that Brittany Mahomes loves Louis Vuitton, we sure do now. While it's perfectly fine to rock designer duds, especially if you can afford it, she went a bit overboard with the head-to-toe logo. And while we love a good LV piece, the red coat's oversized designs are too loud. As if that weren't enough, she also sported the brand's purse, which was thankfully subtler than the jacket, but the headscarf was excessive.
Brittany Mahomes' blazer dress and shorts were a miss
There's nothing like a statement blazer dress for power-dressing, and Brittany Mahomes did just that — but only for the top half. What's confusing is that she paired the blazer with a pair of tight black shorts with the number 15 on them. Her black over-the-knee boots only made the look appear more incohesive. A pair of shiny black tights would have pulled this look together in a heartbeat.
Too much really can be a bad thing
Monochrome outfits can look chic, but in Brittany Mahomes' case, her all-yellow outfit left her resembling a mustard bottle. Perhaps the bold colors were somewhat too strong and the look would have been better with a softer color. We dig the ankle-length jacket, but a soft cream top and bottom would have been a lot less jarring.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a Chiefs crop top and a comfy pair of pants when you're watching a football game. However, this November 2020 outfit paired with pigtails is a far cry from the sophisticated looks Brittany Mahomes tends to prefer now. At the time, she was 25 years old, but one fan commented on her Instagram post, "You look like [you're] 13." Another wrote, "No offense but you dress like a 3 year old picked out your clothes for you." Perhaps this outfit was pre-stylist days.
