While there are many things wrong with her overall application, such as an overload of foundation and super-matte red lips, the one thing that ages Boebert is her dramatic, stamped-on brows. As a longtime makeup artist with over 15 years in the industry, I appreciate a good, strong brow, but the Colorado representative goes way overboard with the eyebrow pencil.

Eyebrows are an important feature, especially for women of a certain age. If they're too sparse or too dark, faces can appear a lot older. However, when they're shaded just enough to bring out the eyes, everything else falls into place. While Boebert has yet to even reach her 40s, she looks more mature with her heavy makeup that's punctuated by her blocky brows.

Boebert's heavy-handed eyebrow makeup isn't just a one-time offense. She often draws them in with a black pencil or powder and fails to blend them, which creates a harsh outline. In May 2023, Boebert shared an Instagram selfie of her fully made-up face, complete with smokey eyes and contouring mistakes that made her look older. With just a bit of blending, she would have looked years younger, and she's proven that using a lighter hand with makeup looks so much better.

It's hard to believe, but there was a time when Lauren Boebert didn't rely on heavy makeup. Back in 2023, she attended a Congressional meeting with barely there foundation that matched her neck, soft smokey eyes, and a daytime-appropriate pink lipstick. While she could have done without the gaudy silver earrings, Boebert's look was natural and pretty. She clearly filled in her brows with a bit of dark pencil, but they weren't as thick or harsh as her current go-to style.

Boebert may just have naturally thick eyebrows, but if that's the case, she could fill in sparse areas with a dark-brown pencil instead of the black shade she seems to prefer. A less-rounded shape with the inner corners slightly wider and then gently tapering off at the ends would also make her appear younger. The tadpole shape has been outdated for years, so a good eyebrow mapping session would do Boebert some good.
