Ivanka Trump is no different, as the second child of Donald and someone who has worked closely with him throughout her entire adulthood: She served as his right-hand woman during his time on "The Apprentice," his 2016 campaign, and even as an advisor to him during his first term. That means that red carpets, public appearances, and lavish business trips abroad were all part of Ivanka's itinerary, and coming from a family shrouded in wealth, there's a certain expectation to turn out extravagant and costly ensembles. Not only that, but Ivanka was a runway model for several years and began her own fashion company in 2007, marketing women's office wear, jewelry, shoes, and more. Thus, it can be concluded that the woman has taste, along with the income to bring the looks of her dreams to fruition. In April 2019, Ivanka Trump attended the Milken Institute Global Conference in a power pantsuit that deserved its own panel. Donald Trump's eldest daughter wore a powder-blue Partow blazer and matching slacks, paired with a white button-up and black Gianvito Rossi stilettos. It was the perfect combination of sophistication with the exact pop of color for spring. Ivanka also curled her hair for the event, a refreshing change of pace from her typical pin-straight blond locks. 

The blazer retailed for a whopping $2,082 and the pants for $1,313. The suede pointed-toe pumps were $675 at the time, bringing the total to $4,070, and that's not even counting the button down. It hasn't been publicly disclosed where the white undershirt was purchased from, but just for kicks, let's assume it's Ralph Lauren. The brand's standard white button-up retails for around $130 today (and that's on the cheaper end). Altogether, this brings the likely total for the outfit to somewhere around the $4,200 mark.

Ivanka Trump attended a royal banquet at Buckingham Palace in June 2019, but many thought her attire wasn't up to par. She wore a floor-length Carolina Herrera gown that was a beautiful, dusted blue and embroidered with a floral pattern. She paired the garment with layers of pearls and a solid-gold clutch. Her hair and makeup were kept classy, with her hair styled into a low bun and a smokey-eye look to tie in with the hue of the dress.

The issue many were finding with her ensemble comes from the silhouette of the gown. The A-line hem gives a classy, ballroom feel, but the neckline was buttoned up to a collar, causing some to think the dress was too lackluster for the regal setting. Under her Instagram post from the visit, one user wrote, "WTF is that dress? 100% inappropriate and utterly horrible." Combine that with the pricey pearls and Ivanka's other accessories, and it certainly negates the claims that she didn't show up classy enough.

After Donald Trump won the presidential election in 2016, Ivanka Trump knew that she had to make a splash at his first state dinner in April 2018. She opted for a pale-pink floor-length Rodarte gown, patterned with black polka dots and a floral embellishment at the mid-section. The silhouette was an uncommon one for Ivanka, with a playful jewel neckline and ruffled, tiered layers on the skirt.

For the accessories, hair, and makeup, Ivanka went for upscale elegance, pulling her hair back into a low bun with a bold red lip and dangly statement earrings. She finished off the look with a pair of black pumps. The dress was valued at upwards of $12,800, and let's just say we hope she kept the tag on, based on some social media users' opinions of the gown. One user wrote under her Instagram post from the night, plain and simple, "What a horrible dress !!!" Another chimed in, "I cannot believe THAT is a $12000 dress..."

Turns out, Ivanka Trump dropped a bag ahead of her three-day trip to the U.K. in June 2019. In the afternoon before the royal banquet where she rocked the Carolina Herrera gown, she wore an elaborate all-white ensemble designed by Alessandra Rich. The pleated midi skirt costs approximately $1,152 (adjusted for a modern exchange rate), and the peplum blouse costs around $2,101. Ivanka accessorized the look with a wide belt with a dazzling buckle (estimated to be $761), Gianvito Rossi nude pumps again for nearly $700, and a Philip Treacy hat (estimated to be around $2,628). Moving on to day two, Ivanka donned a Burberry matching knee-length skirt and blouse set with black-and-white dots, as seen on her Instagram. The top and skirt retailed for around $2,154 together at the time she wore them, and she paired the outfit with a pair of leather Burberry pumps that were sold for $697, bringing the total for this ensemble to around $2,851. Combine that with the Alessandra Rich and Carolina Herrera looks, and Ivanka spent a grand total of more than $34,500, not counting all of the outfits we didn't see. It brings a whole new meaning to "shopping for a work trip."

Ivanka Trump has had her share of inappropriate outfits we'll never forget, and she made sure to show up to Donald Trump's presidential inauguration in January 2025 with yet another unforgettable look, but this time for the amount she spent.

Starting with a bang at the dinner the night before the inauguration, Ivanka donned a breathtaking, fitted Oscar de la Renta gown with a drop shoulder and intricate patterning of pearls and crystals, the price of which has not been disclosed. The real shining stars of the look, though, were a pair of 18.08 carat Leviev drop earrings, valued at $900,000.

The following day at the inaugural ball, Ivanka wore a Givenchy gown that drew inspiration from Audrey Hepburn's role in the film "Sabrina," per Instagram. The white, strapless dress was embroidered with black-and-gray floral designs, which she paired with some elbow-length black gloves. She tied her hair up into a French twist, showing off yet another pair of brilliant 10-carat Leviev earrings that retail for $60,000. The delicate neckline also flawlessly captured the matching 50-carat necklace, valued at $180,000.
