How Lauren Sánchez's Face Has Transformed Over The Years, According To Our Plastic Surgeon

There's no doubt that Lauren Sánchez's face has drastically changed throughout the years, and it's not just due to good old-fashioned aging. Many have speculated that she has had various plastic surgeries, and Dr. Matthew Nykiel, one of the few board-certified plastic surgeons in the country with advanced training in both general and cosmetic plastic surgery, doesn't disagree. "Looking at recent photos of Lauren Sánchez, it seems likely she's had some well-done work over the years. Her face has that sculpted, youthful quality that usually doesn't happen on its own past a certain age," he exclusively tells Glam.

According to his expert opinion, which he notes is just an opinion as he can't guarantee anything without being her surgeon, Sánchez likely had blepharoplasty, the trendy micro-procedure aimed for the eyelids. "Her eyes seem more open and slightly lifted, especially in the outer corners. That's something we typically achieve with upper and lower lid surgery," Dr. Nykiel shares.

Sánchez's eyes aren't the only feature that's transformed. Dr. Nykiel thinks she's had rhinoplasty, noting, "Her nose appears slimmer and more refined, particularly along the bridge and tip." As for the political commentator's altered facial structure, Dr. Nykiel believes that's the work of a face lift and possibly chin fillers or an implant. "There's a definite lift through her cheeks and jawline, but it looks natural, not overly tight. That's usually a sign of a more advanced face lift technique like deep plane or extended SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system), where the deeper tissues are repositioned instead of just pulling the skin," he says, adding that it looks like Sánchez has had more than just surgery. With her plumped-up face, the future wife of Jeff Bezos is likely a fan of dermal fillers.

Lauren Sánchez's face has become more sculpted over time

It's a well-known fact that people lose volume in their faces as they age, but Lauren Sánchez's face has gotten even plumper, which is most likely from injectables. "There's good volume in her midface, which most people lose with age. That fullness could be the result of fat grafting or fillers. Hard to say which, but it's likely one of the two," Dr. Matthew Nykiel exclusively shares with us. "Her lips are noticeably fuller, and the area between her upper lip and nose seems shorter than it used to be. That often suggests a lip lift or possibly a lip flip in addition to filler or fat transfer."

As with any plastic surgery, Sánchez needs to upkeep her procedures, and Dr. Nykiel thinks she needs to start with her skin. "Regular laser treatments, microneedling, and high-quality skincare help keep texture and collagen levels up," he advises. And because fillers dissolve over time, she should get touch-ups every so often. You may be surprised to learn that face lifts aren't permanent, with most lasting around 10 years before drooping occurs. "A minor revision can restore what starts to drift," the California-based plastic surgeon tells us.

Dr. Nykiel estimates that Sánchez has spent over $100,000 on her procedures, but she's about to marry Jeff Bezos despite red flags in their relationship, so that's just a drop in the bucket for her. Now, while Lauren Sánchez hasn't admitted to these cosmetic procedures, there are plenty of celebrities who have opened up about their plastic surgery experiences.
