The Makeup Mistake Laura Loomer Can't Stop Making

Laura Loomer's face has transformed drastically over the years, but one thing has remained the same: her love of super-dark eyebrows. The far-right political commentator is one of the worst offenders of the "Mar-a-Lago face" with her heavily applied makeup and apparent plastic surgery that makes her look older than her age (32). As a makeup artist who has been glamming up clients of all ages for over 15 years, I can firmly attest that Loomer's blocky brows are outdated, if they've ever been in vogue at all. The Florida resident has made a name for herself ever since she started openly supporting Donald Trump, and there's not one picture that shows her without caked-on products on her face.

Even while shopping for groceries, Loomer goes full-on glam, including her ever-present dark brows, as seen in one Instagram post from February 2025. Many would maybe just put on some tinted moisturizer and lip gloss while running errands, but it looks like Loomer took the time to stencil in her eyebrows and apply some false lashes. There's nothing inherently wrong with that; we just want to see her update her look. It's true that thick brows are trendy right now, but there is a way to master the fluffy brow trend without looking like you drew them on with a Sharpie.

Laura Loomer needs to ease up on the dark brow pencil

Although Laura Loomer has naturally dark hair, she shouldn't fill her brows in with an equally inky black shade. In fact, the color should be a couple of steps lighter than her tresses, so a dark or medium brown would look much more natural, especially with her fair skin tone. Additionally, rather than keep the width of her brows a uniform shape throughout, she should draw them in thicker in the front, with the ends tapered off gradually.

Loomer has big eyes, so she can get away with a strong brow. However, having them so blocky and chunky draws attention to their uneven shape. To combat that, she needs to brush them with an eyebrow spoolie so that the edges aren't as visible. And instead of an eyebrow pencil, a powder would look a lot softer and leave her more room for error. With just a few simple tweaks, Loomer's look could be more on-trend, and since Donald Trump has phased her out of his inner circle, now's the time for her to ditch the Republican makeup.
