Once again, capri pants are staging a revival for summer, and we're ready to style the bleep out of them from head to toe. Instead of calculating how to pair the perfect shoes with any pant style, we are on the lookout for the perfect shoes to wear with capris this summer. To aid in the hunt, we tapped Patrick Kenger, founder and personal stylist at Pivot Image Consulting, to share some tips. He exclusively shares that versatility is our friend when it comes to capris: "The good thing is that capris have the capacity to dress up or down, so by pairing with a T-shirt and sneaker, you'll be ready for a comfortable, carefree day, while swapping those out for a more high-end top and shoe like leather slip-ons, you can elevate the whole look."

If you want a style that will go from workplace to weekend brunch to an evening out, Kenger recommends the flat, cross-strap Everlane Day Crossover Sandals because they "come in a few different neutral colors and have a simple, classic style that can be either causal or on the dressier side, depending on the rest of the outfit."

Another style that's one of the most popular shoe trends of 2025 and is obviously fabulous to pair with capris is the ballet flat. Opt for a classic style, or lean into something slightly edgier with a mesh version. Depending on how you style the rest of your outfit, they can be worn for work, play, or a nice dinner out. When it comes to wearing capris this summer, it's important to think about proportions and what might appear the most flattering. Because capris are a cropped pant style, they can make the wearer appear shorter, so looking for a leg-elongating style is key if that's a concern for you. All hail the heeled, closed-toe mule, such as the Coutgo Pointed-Toe V-Cut Mules, which come in a number of neutral shades that will help elongate the leg. 

If mules aren't your thing, you can get a similar effect with a heel, such as the Calvin Klein Gloria Pump, which is a classic style available in over 20 shades. Patrick Kenger recommends the Teva Universal Sandal here, exclusively telling Glam, "It's very summer-friendly and has a fairly slender profile compared with some bulkier shoes, which is good if you're going for capris; if the shoes are too large, they'll make the outfit appear off-balance."
