Hailey Bieber's Inappropriate Wedding Guest Dress Showed A Lot Of Skin

Hailey Bieber has worn a slew of inappropriate outfits over the years, but the gown she wore to Stephanie Shepherd (yes, the one who used to be personal assistant to Kim Kardashian) and record producer Larry Jackson's wedding in June 2023 takes the cake. Somehow, she managed to break nearly every rule in the ultimate guide of what not to wear to a wedding, but we'd be lying if we said she didn't look fabulous.

For whatever reason, Bieber opted for a white, long-sleeved Fancì Club gown that featured a turtleneck and a cutout across the backside. The entrepreneur finished off the look with pearl earrings, a fuzzy baby-blue purse, and a cool-toned eye look to match. She perhaps showed a bit too much skin to someone else's wedding, and wearing white is always a risk, too. We know all the best tips to avoid becoming a bridezilla on the big day, but this would tempt us.

In Bieber's defense, celebrity weddings often have looser dress codes, like when Kendall Jenner got permission to wear a gown that looked like it had been put through the shredder to her best friend's wedding in November 2021. However, it's pretty safe to say that showing up in the same color as the bride (while showing side boob) was a huge no-no, and social-media onlookers agreed. One wrote on her Instagram post of the look, "The main thing here is what she's wearing... wayyyy too risqué...and not appropriate at all!" Meanwhile, another quipped, "Since when has it been okay for a female to wear WHITE to another females wedding?!"

Hailey Bieber committed a fashion crime by wearing a white dress with cutouts to another woman's wedding, but before the critical faux pas, her record was pretty clean. The Rhode founder joined Kendall Jenner for Lauren Perez's aforementioned Miami wedding and opted for a Magda Butrym brown, sequined dress that featured the cups shaped into floral designs and thin spaghetti straps. It was understated yet glamorous, and a perfect option for a winter beach wedding.

Later, in July 2022, Hailey attended the wedding of Rhode Beauty's head of brand, Lauren Rothberg, in a lime-green, corseted Versace gown, finishing off the look with a tousled updo and gold earrings to match Versace's Medusa-head logo on one of the straps.

In December 2024, Hailey Bieber went down to Costa Rica with husband Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner for Jessica Lageyre and Joseph Perez's nuptials. For the celebration, Hailey donned a loose-fitting, off-the-shoulder red dress, including a candy-apple rosette on the shoulder. Though wearing red to a wedding is normally something to avoid (due to undertones of lust and infidelity, even if we think this association is a little outdated), Hailey's simple yet sophisticated look felt cohesive with the time and place.
