How Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen's Faces Have Transformed Over The Years, Per Our Plastic Surgeon

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's faces were once plastered everywhere as child stars, but growing up with that level of fame caused them to step back from the spotlight and explore their other interests. Most notably, the twins moved on to become highly celebrated fashion designers. Although both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are flawless without makeup, their appearances have changed significantly since they graced our screens on "Full House" in the late '80s and early '90s. So, we asked board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Raja Mohan, who is based in Dallas, Texas, what procedures he thinks the fraternal twins have had done.

He first noticed changes in their faces around the mid-2000s, noting that this could either be from natural weight fluctuation or from the help of fillers. It was during the 2010s, though, that he began seeing more drastic alterations. The Olsens were among the child stars who grew up to be gorgeous, but they likely had some external help along the way. "The changes most consistent with cosmetic surgery include rhinoplasty, as their nasal bridges appear narrower and the tips more defined compared to earlier years," the plastic surgeon tells Glam exclusively. "Their cheekbones also look sharper, which may have been enhanced through filler, fat grafting, or even buccal fat pad removal to reduce fullness in the lower face. Their eyes took on a more open and less heavy appearance, suggesting the possibility of upper eyelid surgery."

However, Dr. Mohan shares that he doesn't believe Mary-Kate and Ashley went under the knife after the major procedures previously listed. Instead, he believes that Botox, fillers, and surgical contouring are used to maintain their current look.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen may want to consider more plastic surgery in the future

As a follow-up to our original question for Dr. Raja Mohan, we asked him what procedures the twins may want to consider in the future  only if they want to, since Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have had quite the stunning style transformations and are already gorgeous. He reveals exclusively to Glam that there are two routes that the twins could follow; the first of which is non-invasive. "...The most beneficial treatments moving forward would be those that focus on maintaining softness and balance rather than further sharpening their features," Dr. Mohan notes. He recommends fillers under the eyes, in the cheeks, and the temples to keep up with volume loss as they age, along with regular chemical peels, fractional lasers, and microneedling for maintaining their skin.

The alternative route is a bit more invasive. Dr. Mohan suggests a lower eyelid or mid-face lift to counter the natural hollowing and sagging of skin as they age, saying, "Neck skin tends to lose firmness with age, so non-surgical tightening or eventually a neck lift could provide long-term benefit." He does have a final piece of advice for the "New York Minute" stars, regardless of which route (if any) they choose to take: "The key for both of them would be restraint, avoiding overuse of filler or too much surgical alteration, and instead focusing on procedures that restore subtle volume and preserve their natural bone structure."
