However, Melania stood out with her super-wide-brimmed headpiece that covered a good portion of her face. We're not quite sure know how she greeted the royals, as it seemed like the hat made it impossible to look anyone in the eyes, making this one of Melania Trump's completely inappropriate outfits.

While Camilla's hat was just as wide-brimmed as Melania's, hers was perched at an angle, making her face clearly visible. Kate Middleton, on the other hand, donned a darling fascinator that matched her maroon outfit. Perhaps Melania Trump was covering up one of her biggest makeup mistakes or trying to avoid talking with the royal family. In any case, this 'fit has been making its way around the internet ever since it was first snapped, and it's certainly got people talking (and joking).

Melania Trump styled her wide-brimmed hat with a demure gray jacket and skirt, but this time, her central outfit wasn't the talk of the internet. Instead, many roasted her for the bizarre placement of her hat, which looked especially hilarious at certain angles. This isn't the first time a hat has caused the first lady to blow up online, either. Melania previously wore a wide-brimmed hat during President Donald Trump's inauguration this January, and many joked that she wore it to keep her husband away. "Oh, now it makes sense. Melania wore the hat as a barrier to Trump's lips. Got it," an X user posted at the time. "I think she'll be wearing a lot [of] big hats over the next 4 years," another user replied. Ultimately, the next time she's in the U.K., maybe the first lady can get a lesson from the royals on how to wear a hat that won't haunt her forever.
