What These Real Housewives Stars Looked Like Before Plastic Surgery
It's no secret that "Real Housewives" stars love a good nip and tuck, and who can blame them? They're constantly exposed to the public, so they always have to look camera-ready. And, they have the deep pockets to afford the various procedures that keep them appearing forever young. Many of the reality stars have admitted to getting preventative Botox and fillers to plump up their faces. However, there are quite a few who have gone a step further and had even more invasive plastic surgery, such as rhinoplasties and facelifts.
With millions of viewers being longtime fans of the "Real Housewives" franchise, it's pretty obvious when certain Bravolebrities' features have changed. Some stars like to keep their procedures hush-hush, but there are others, such as NeNe Leakes and Kyle Richards, who have been very open about going under the knife. But whether the procedures were subtle or not, many of these Housewives do seem to have more confidence post-op.
Teresa Giudice had a very subtle nose job
Teresa Giudice was open about wanting "boobies" in Season 1 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," and allowed cameras to follow her as she got her first breast augmentation. The mom of four was just as candid about her nose job in 2021, per The Sun. "I don't know if anybody knows, but I did get the tip of my nose done, and I was so nervous about getting it," Giudice shared at the New Jersey Ultimate Women's Expo in 2021. However, the difference is so subtle that no one would have guessed.
Vicki Gunvalson made a few tweaks to her face
After Gretchen Rossi's boyfriend Slade Smiley compared her to Miss Piggy, Vicki Gunvalson headed to her plastic surgeon ahead of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" Season 8. During the premiere, Gunvalson revealed that she had a nose reconstruction, chin implant, and fat injected into her cheeks. Years later, the OG of "RHOC" admitted she shouldn't have had surgery right before filming. "I was so swollen, and I couldn't move my mouth, and it was totally embarrassing," she told PeopleStyle, which was later merged with People.
Kyle Richards felt better about her looks after her rhinoplasty
In 2006, long before Kyle Richards was on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," she shaved off her nose. "My nose bothered me for a long time. The surgery made me feel better," she told Us Weekly. Since then, the "American Woman" producer was forced to go through another surgery when she accidentally broke her nose in 2019. Richards revealed in her Instagram Stories (via Page Six), "I broke it last September, and the bone poking out bothered me. So I fixed the bone, fixed my breathing problems, and refined the top."
NeNe Leakes made her body snatched with the help of a BBL
Although NeNe Leakes is no longer on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," she's still keeping up her appearances. In August 2022, she revealed on Instagram that she had the buzzy BBL surgery. "I did it! I got a 'Professional BBL' with Dr. Okoro! Follow my surgery journey with Dr. Okoro at Georgia Plastic. I'm almost ready to show off my new snatched look but I want you to be snatched too!" she posted. Leakes also had her nose refined in 2010, and again six years later. The glow-up is truly amazing.
Tamra Judge revealed that she is done with plastic surgery after multiple procedures
Tamra Judge stunned fans in August 2024 when she shared an Instagram reel of herself looking like Elphaba from "Wicked." Explaining her green face and bandaged head, the "RHOC" star wrote, "I visited Dr. Donald Mowlds in Newport Beach ... for a brow lift, CO2 laser, and a blue chemical peel. Seven years ago, I had a lower facelift but skipped the upper — like painting the house but forgetting the trim." After the procedure, Judge told Life & Style that she was done with plastic surgery: "I've realized that while cosmetic enhancements can be great, they're not always worth the toll on your body."
Margaret Josephs raved about her facelift
Most Real Housewives get a spray tan and maybe some injectables before a season reunion, but Margaret Josephs got a whole facelift in 2019. "I had this facelift revision after the season for reunion," she shared in her Instagram Stories (via Bravo). The result was a super-tight jawline and a lifted look that made the "RHONJ" star look a decade younger. In an interview with New Beauty, Josephs sang her doctor's praises and shared, "I naturally have a great skin 'quality.' But, truthfully, my facelift was the best thing I ever did."
Jennifer Aydin regretted her nose job and chin implant
During Season 12 of "RHONJ," Jennifer Aydin showed up with a new nose that featured a tip that curved slightly upward. In a clip shared by the Instagram account @bravohousewives, Jackie Goldschneider is seen muttering, "Her nose looks terrible." Fans didn't hold back on their comments, and Jennifer admitted that she regretted her rhinoplasty and chin implant. "Just like all of you, I was not happy with my nose job either ... It has since settled in nicely, but I do regret it," she wrote. One might wonder why Aydin just didn't go to her plastic surgeon husband, Bill Aydin.
Shannon Storms Beador admitted to having a facelift
The "RHOC" cast is no stranger to getting work done, and that includes Shannon Storms Beador. During the Season 16 reunion, she revealed, "I had a facelift five weeks ago" (via Bravo). The former debutante told host Andy Cohen that after the surgery, her doctor called her then-boyfriend John Janssen to say, "I've never cut more skin out of a neck in my entire career than I have with Shannon's."
