How Demi Moore's Face Has Transformed Over The Years, According To Our Plastic Surgeon

Actor Demi Moore has one of those faces that's tricky to analyze surgery-wise, at least for us non-experts. On one hand, she's clearly showing the kind of natural (and welcome) changes that come with time. But on the other, she definitely doesn't look like she's in her 60s, and this has us wondering: How much of this is genetics, and how much is surgical? Instead of playing internet detective with side-by-side photos, we turned to someone who actually knows what to look for. Glam spoke exclusively to award-winning plastic surgeon Dr. Samuel Golpanian, a double board-certified Beverly Hills expert who's spent years in the field.

But before even offering an analysis, Dr. Golpanian was full of praise for Demi Moore's stunning transformation: "I think she's stunning — stunningly beautiful," he says. Naturally, we asked what might explain this age-defying appearance, and the response wasn't what we expected. "Honestly, I don't think she's had much surgical work done," Dr. Golpanian explains. "She's really aged gracefully."

That said, a lack of surgery doesn't mean a lack of beauty treatments. Dr. Golpanian suspects she may have had help from injectables: "Maybe some Botox in the upper forehead, and possibly a bit of cheek filler." Interestingly, we know for a fact that our plastic surgeon's analysis is spot on; between 2020 and 2021, the "Ghost" actor was making rounds on social media because her cheeks clearly had too much filler.

Demi Moore's recent beauty choices are an upgrade

In 2020, Demi Moore had very few wrinkles in sight, super plumped-up cheeks, and that skin-tight appearance, often seen among the worst offenders of "Mar-a-Lago face." Yet she didn't necessarily look younger. Instead, the effect seemed quite unnatural. Now, we're not here to call out looks, but Moore clearly wasn't thrilled with the look, either. By 2022, she'd dialed back much of the cheek injectables, right when everyone else was also dissolving their fillers for complicated reasons.

Notably, two years after the height of her filler craze, she starred in "The Substance," a movie about beauty, Hollywood standards, and how women are made to feel "less than" once they hit a certain age. When you connect the dots, it's not hard to see why her look today is far more natural. Moore's current appearance is softer, and we're always here for women being comfortable in their skin. Still, considering how much plastic surgery has advanced in the past 100 years, we're not knocking it either. The key has always been balance. So, during our exclusive chat with Dr. Samuel Golpanian, we asked what he would recommend if Moore wanted future touch-ups.

"I think a mini facelift combined with facial fat filling could really address the midface area and restore that natural fullness," he says. If you're wondering what exactly a mini facelift is, it's less invasive than the full version and mostly works on the lower parts of the face. Our plastic surgeon would also recommend lip filler to add some fullness to the area. However, if Moore decided never to pursue invasive procedures, it wouldn't be a loss. Few people look as stunning as she does over 60, and that's something to enjoy.
