Nicole Kidman's Sister Is Absolutely Gorgeous

Once a celebrity reaches a certain height of fame, it can be difficult to remember that they're still a person with a family. No matter how many Academy Awards or Instagram followers they have, they're still someone's daughter, mother, or sister. And in screen legend Nicole Kidman's case, she leads quite a different life from younger sister Antonia Kidman, so it can be hard for fans to reconcile that they're so close. Three years younger than Nicole, Antonia is based in Australia, and while she's well-known in local circles as the movie star's only sibling, she might not get mistaken for Nicole by those who don't know. Even though both women are gorgeous, they have distinctly different looks. 

Nicole is one of the most recognizable blond actors in Hollywood, known for her signature platinum mane that sometimes veers toward her natural strawberry hue, but Antonia proudly rocks her brown bob and doesn't tend to stray from it. Antonia also has beautiful brown eyes and a dressing style that is smart, sophisticated, and pushes fewer boundaries than her sister's red-carpet garb. When they're apart, you'd probably not pick them as sisters. But when they pose together, as they did in a July 2020 Instagram photo that Nicole posted for Antonia's birthday, the resemblance is there. They have a similar facial structure, with the same eye and nose shapes.

"If you have a sister, as a woman it's such a blessing because there's this closeness where you can really delve into another woman with safety," Nicole shared in a 2020 interview with The Sydney Morning Herald. "We're almost twins and we've been through a lot. I showed up for her and she showed up for me. That's a lovely thing to have." Though Nicole doesn't always mention Antonia in interviews, it's clear their bond is rock-solid, even if they lead very different lives.

Nicole and Antonia Kidman don't only differ in their looks; the two sisters have also taken different career paths. We've seen the highs of Nicole's acting career in the spotlight over the past 40 years, while Antonia's achievements have been quieter but just as impressive. Her background is in journalism, and she worked as a presenter and reporter on Australian shows like "The Bigger Things" and "From Here to Maternity." Having a knack for communications, she's also written content for magazines and parenting books, and in 2025 became a podcast host of "Beyond Borders: International Family Law." Antonia's more than qualified for the podcast position, by the way, since she graduated in 2019 with a legal degree from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and has since worked at a local law firm. 

One area where they do have a lot in common is motherhood. Antonia has six children: Lucia, James, Hamish, and Sybella, whom she shares with ex-husband Angus Hawley, and Nicholas and Alexander, whom she shares with current husband Craig Marran. Nicole can relate, with four children of her own: Bella Kidman Cruise, Connor Cruise, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban (and these celebrity kids definitely inherited their parents' famous style).

Despite the career differences, and perhaps because of the shared life values, the Kidman sisters are very close — so much so that they have their own language. "It was really helpful when we were like at parties, and we had our boyfriends and stuff — we would be able to use our language, and they'd all be like, 'What?' It's a really good tip for all the sisters out there," Nicole gushed to WSJ. Style in 2020. Interestingly, that connection can sometimes come through in their wardrobes, which are usually completely different. 

Naturally, Nicole Kidman's job and lifestyle call for glamorous outfits. We've seen her stun on red carpet after red carpet for years, with her signature style focusing on plenty of dramatic gowns and edgy ensembles. Antonia Kidman's style is much tamer and quieter, often looking demure and simple compared to her sister's wardrobe. Modest, muted outfits are the norm: Her summers seems to be filled with breezy dresses, while her office-chic looks show that she can put her own spin on corporate wear. That said, every once in a while, that Kidman sparkle comes out in Antonia. 

In December 2021, Antonia posted a photo to Instagram that showed her posing with husband Craig Marran in a bright-red ballgown. Though she kept her hair and makeup game relatively simple, the princess silhouette and sweetheart neckline were giving serious movie-star vibes. Then, there was the elegant black dress she wore to celebrate her son's school formal (the equivalent of American proms) in September 2020, which she paired with pearls that screamed "Audrey Hepburn." Again, keeping her hair in its usual bob showed where the sisters differ in their beauty approach, and understandably so: Antonia's looks aren't nearly as scrutinized as Nicole's, so she's free to wear her hair however she likes. That said, the "rom-com bob" is the movie star way to do short hair. 

From a distance, Nicole and Antonia look more like friends than sisters, as seen in one 2019 Instagram post where their blond and dark hair seem to majorly contrast. But up close, it's clear they share some similarities, from the undeniable sibling love they have for one another to the way their wardrobes emulate each other every so often.
