The Worst Celebrity Halloween Costumes Of 2025

Halloween is one of the rare occasions when it's acceptable for grown-ups to have fun with costumes without anyone judging. If you're not a celebrity, that is. If you are, be prepared for people to dissect your costume even more than your Oscars gown or Met Gala look. So while dressing up as fairies, Batman, and bleeding brides is fine for us normal folks, in the world of the rich and famous, we expect costumes to be unique, incredibly well-executed, and most of all, intricate. We can't afford to spend tons on a Halloween look, but they sure can.

And even though 2025 has given us a few celebrity Halloween looks that will go down in history as the best ones ever — Demi Lovato dressing up as her fictional viral twin sister Poot from the basement had us in tears (via Instagram) — plenty of stars completely missed out on an opportunity to serve us jaw-dropping looks, from Emma Roberts with her boring splash of blood to Victoria Justice, who was as predictable as ever.

She's someone who is an undisputable scream queen, so we always have very high expectations for Emma Roberts' Halloween costumes. But the look she wore to Vas J Morgan and Michael Braun's 2025 Halloween party fell flat. The "American Horror Story" star wore a simple white vintage-looking nightgown with retro accessories and a long black wig. The fake cut on the side of her neck did take the look up a notch, but Roberts could have given more. Unfortunately, the actor also made it onto our roundup of the worst-dressed celebs at Coachella 2025. 

When it comes to setting trends, Justin Bieber's wife is a seasoned pioneer. From Hailey Bieber's most stunning pregnancy style moments to her glazed nails and peach makeup trendsetting, her impact is undeniable. And while she doesn't typically go too hard for Halloween, her Mrs. Incredible costume, which she shared on her Instagram stories (alongside a pic of her son Jack rocking a matching one), was definitely a very bland choice for a celebrity who could certainly give us a more unique Halloween look. Yes, the Biebers wanted a fun family costume, but couldn't they have come up with something a tad more original?

Now, don't get us wrong — former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice looked absolutely beautiful (and terrifying) in the two Halloween costumes she has shared on Instagram. However, opting to dress up as a devil and a zombie/bloody bride certainly seems like a last-minute decision. 

Both costumes are something we see tons of every Halloween, and considering that one of the occasions was a Halloween party that Justice hosted in honor of her album "Love Zombie," we would have expected something with more wow factor.

The Kardashians usually go all out for Halloween, and their Halloween parties always look incredibly fun. In 2025, Khloé Kardashian hosted a fun family get-together that had stunning decorations, plenty of sweets, and a few famous guests. Singer Meghan Trainor attended the daytime party, and it seems as if she coordinated her look with Kris Jenner's. Both ladies dressed up as fairies, and while the move was child-friendly, we've seen this motif too many times before.

Thanks to her roles in "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday," Lindsay Lohan has given us some iconic Halloween costume options. However, when it comes to her own Halloween look, it appears as if the actor isn't too excited about dressing up. This year, she shared an Instagram Story of herself with her husband Bader Shammas and their son dressed up as a Batman family, and while they're cute, this coordinated wardrobe came without much originality.

When AnnaSophia Robb showed up at "The Cursed Amulet" Halloween party, her costume gave us almost no reaction. Going as a fairy for Halloween is cute if you're a toddler or you create a super intricate costume — otherwise it's just one of those looks that proves you couldn't care less what you dress up as. Yes, Robb had the wings, the magic wand, and the pointy ears, but nevertheless, the costume still fell flat.

When Bebe Rexha showed up to the Vas J Morgan and Michael Braun 2025 Halloween party, we definitely couldn't quite place her costume. Either it's one of those that is so niche that we haven't heard of it, or it's simply a costume of a fairy in a yellow latex dress with fluffy wings, a pink wig and crown, and a magic wand. If that's the case, Rexha definitely disappointed this year thanks to a complete lack of creativity and cohesion.

Actor Famke Janssen attended Heidi Klum's iconic Halloween party this year, and her look definitely didn't deliver. The "X-Men" star's sultry ringmaster/magician costume was cute — and Janssen looked stunning in it — but we do expect those who attend Klum's cult party to take it up a notch. Famke's costume was adequate for a casual Halloween party, but not the most famous one of all.
