Megan Thee Stallion's Most Daring Outfits So Far

Megan Thee Stallion doesn't do demure. Her style is bold, body-revealing, and sexually expressive, much like her music. The difficulty, however, with leaning towards fashion this performance-driven is that over time, it becomes pretty difficult to get that wow factor.

Fortunately for the "Mamushi" singer, this is one problem she learned to deal with early on. Between working with a wide range of designers, making her own styling decisions, and daring to try new things, she is frequently reinventing her style and taking her fashion to new daring heights.

Now, to be clear, there's a lot of difference between a revealing outfit and a daring one. Daring outfits take risks, focus on unique intents, and leave lasting impressions, whether good or bad. However, it went a step further and left out a bust cut completely, in favor of nipple covers. Megan Thee Stallion wore this green dress to the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and it pushed the limits enough to get actor and comedian Sherri Shepherd's stamp of disapproval.

There are daring outfits that turn out right and those that don't. Unfortunately, the purple number Megan Thee Stallion wore while performing at the Lil Weezyana Festival in 2019 did not pan out right for her. For one, deep purple just doesn't seem to be her color, but more importantly, it was a lazy attempt at daring. Between the long sleeves and the boring regular bra, a lot was going on, and none of it worked together.

Given the extensive history of fashion, it's truly difficult for designers to put out anything actually unique. That's why we were impressed with this daring outfit, which Megan Thee Stallion wore to the 2025 Gold Gala. Many designers equate daring with revealing, but this dress designed by Quinne Li did a lot more. From the unique structure to the intelligent mix of fabrics, it showed real talent. Combined with Megan's confidence, it's a slam dunk.

This dress Megan Thee Stallion wore to the 2021 BET Awards is an example of how some designers rely on exposing bodies to be daring. And to be fair, the amount of skin exposed in this dress pushed the limits. It featured extreme slits with a front and back panel connected by dipping ropes. The "WAP" crooner looked stunning as always, but this has little to nothing to do with the outfit. A word of advice to the designer: Exposing doesn't equal accentuating.

From "Cruella" to "The Devil Wears Prada," every fashion movie teaches one thing: The fabric makes or breaks the dress. In the case of the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Megan Thee Stallion's dress was made of fabric that was daring but poorly chosen. The sheer fabric was pretty revealing and showed more than many celebrities would dare to. But both the sheer and sparkly material looked so cheap that the entire outfit massively lost points.

Megan Thee Stallion's Met Gala outfit was one for the books. Her interpretation of dandyism was elegant, extravagant, and daring. Not to mention the bonus points for the lush coat that was to die for. However, call us biased, but one of the top reasons this outfit was daring was because of how Megan clearly risked the pain for the gain. It made our list of 2025 Met Gala outfits that had to seriously hurt because of how deeply the cups cut into her breasts. 

The designer of Megan Thee Stallion's outfit at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in 2021 took the risk to mix a cowgirl outfit and a bikini — daring, we know. Sadly, this was not a successful fashion experiment. The result somehow kept the worst parts of both. We appreciate the attempt to balance out the long sleeve fringe on the left hand with the leg piece on her right leg, but the asymmetrical vibe of the entire 'fit just didn't work.

One thing we couldn't help but notice as we compiled our list of the worst-dressed celebs at the 2025 Spring/Summer Paris Haute Couture Week was that many stars and designers apparently don't understand the true meaning of "haute couture." Luckily, Megan Thee Stallion showed up, and her outfit was a masterclass. It was giving handcrafted, made-to-measure, and out of the ordinary. Then, there was the headpiece that gave us flashbacks of Michelle Pfeiffer's 1992 Catwoman mask. The look was an artistic project to remember.

Everyone loves a good cutout dress, and sheer fabrics never go out of style. But while combining two popular fashion trends might be daring, it doesn't guarantee fashion success. One of the major pitfalls of Megan Thee Stallion's 2021 F1 Grand Prix outfit was that the cutouts didn't seem artistically placed. The structure of the dress offered an easy chance to insert an oblique cutout placement (which was trending in summer 2023), but instead, we got whatever this is.
