Lisa Rinna's Plastic Surgery Is So Obvious In Side-By-Side Pics
Lisa Rinna rose to fame in the early '90s thanks to her portrayal of Billie Reed on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives," but her younger fan base knows her from her time as a regular on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" for 8 seasons. However, what her newer fan base might not know is just how much Rinna has changed since her career beginnings. Now, plenty of "Real Housewives" stars looked different before plastic surgery, but what sets Rinna apart is that she's been incredibly open about her cosmetic procedures.
Rinna's journey with injectables dates back to the 2000s. The actor admitted that after seeing Barbara Hershey's lips in the 1988 blockbuster "Beaches," all she wanted was a bigger pout. At the time, Rinna was in her mid-20s, and injections weren't as safe or advanced as they are today. "I was crazy to even touch them in the first place," she shared with People in 2010. "In the beginning, it was great," Rinna said before explaining that things started to move around after 10 years.
Unlike today's lip fillers, which are often but not always hyaluronic acid, silicone was injected into Rinna's lips, and after a while, she was unhappy with how they looked. "I'd get photographed, my lips would look a certain way, and then people would start to talk," she said. Still, she wouldn't change a thing. "I don't regret [the initial fillers] for a second. It's made me who I am. I am the perfect poster child for what not to do on a whim," she told People (via BuzzFeed).
Lisa Rinna has always been open about plastic surgery and fillers
In addition to plumping her lips, which are undeniably the most obvious change in Lisa Rinna's look, the reality star has explored other beauty enhancements. During a December 2025 episode of the "Let's Not Talk About the Husband" podcast, which she hosts with her husband, fellow actor Harry Hamlin, Rinna talked about what her boob job entailed. "Alright, I'm gonna share one thing, because people are gonna be mad if I don't share one thing, plastic surgery–wise," she shared. "180 [ccs] — I don't know if it's moderate profile or not. Half under, half over [the muscle]. I had the smallest ones put in."
Rinna also revealed that she had bigger implants prior to her current ones. "After I had Amelia, I had saline," she explained. "They're also silicone, 180, under-over ..." While she loved her first implants, Rinna acknowledged that they were too big for her frame. "Those were, like, 335 [ccs]. Honey, those were some boobs. I posed nude for Playboy with those boobs," she gushed, adding, "They were gorgeous, but they were so frickin' painful."
In 2024, Rinna also opened up on social media about her journey with dermal fillers. "Skinvive is not for everyone, and it was not good for me. Luckily we could dissolve it today," she commented on a TikTok video by aesthetic physician Nicole Smith (via People). Rinna has always been open about her beauty journey, sharing both her successes and regrets, and with that, setting a new standard of transparency in the world of entertainment. "It was so taboo back in the day when I did it. It was so like, 'Oh my God,'" she admitted to People in 2022. Luckily, things have changed, and she has been a significant part of normalizing honesty surrounding plastic surgery and injectables.
