Side-By-Side Pics Of Kyle Richards' Face Make Her Cosmetic Tweaks So Obvious
From child actor to reality star, Kyle Richards has been in the spotlight since her youth. And as the socialite is slowly approaching her 60s, looking back at photos of her throughout the years shows how much she has changed. Of course, plenty of Real Housewives stars looked different before plastic surgery, and Richards is no different. However, while side-by-side photos showcase a stark difference in the reality star's features, Kyle Richards' face transformed slowly over the years. The star has been open about the tweaks she had done, admitting to a rhinoplasty, liposuction, and Botox injections. "I'm honest about that because we all are so hard on ourselves as it is ..." Richards told Life & Style in 2021.
For a professional opinion on all of the procedures the "Little House on the Prairie" star admitted to or may have had done, we've enlisted the help of Dr. Brandon Richland, founder of Richland Aesthetics and Richland MD. "Looking at Kyle, she has aged remarkably well, and while she has been open about her nose, her overall facial harmony suggests she has likely explored other treatments to maintain that jawline and skin quality," Dr. Richland, who hasn't treated Richards, shares exclusively with Glam. "Her midface looks very supported, which often points toward a well-executed deep plane facelift or perhaps very strategic fat grafting."
The expert adds that the star's procedures have resulted in a look that isn't obvious and overdone. "These procedures address the underlying structure rather than just pulling the skin, which is why she doesn't look 'done' or wind-swept," Dr. Richland adds. "I suspect there has been some conservative use of neurotoxins and fillers to maintain volume, but she hasn't fallen into the trap of 'filler face' where the features become distorted or puffy."
Kyle Richards has been transparent about her two nose jobs
Kyle Richards has admitted to two nose jobs, making her one of the celebs who has opened up about their plastic surgery over the years. In 2013, the "RHOBH" star admitted that she went under the knife to change her nose, as she was unhappy with the way it looked. "My nose bothered me for a long time," she shared with Us Weekly (via Daily Mail). "The surgery made me feel better." In 2020, Richards revealed on Instagram Stories that she had undergone a second nose job. "I fixed my nose," the star admitted (via Bravo). "I broke it last September and the bone poking out bothered me. So I fixed the bone, fixed my breathing problems and refined the tip."
Dr. Brandon Richland explains that getting multiple nose jobs isn't without consequences. "Getting a rhinoplasty right the first time is always the goal, but revision surgery is actually quite common in my world," he tells us exclusively. Properly healing from a nose job takes time, so not rushing into a second surgery is crucial."Regarding how many times someone can go under the knife for their nose, there isn't a hard limit, but the law of diminishing returns definitely applies."
The expert adds that eventually, the rhinoplasty becomes more and more difficult. "Once you get into the territory of a third or fourth revision, we often have to harvest cartilage from the ear or even the rib to provide enough structural support. You eventually reach a point where the risks of skin necrosis or structural collapse outweigh the aesthetic benefits." Richards' transparency undeniably helps break the taboo surrounding plastic surgery, let alone getting the same procedure done twice.
Kyle Richards revealed that she is no stranger to Botox
While injectables are somewhat normalized today, with numerous celebs admitting to using them, Kyle Richards was one of the first stars to openly speak about them. In 2013, the Bravo star admitted that she uses Botox regularly. "I do Botox three times a year. I try to keep it minimal," she told Life & Style (via Skinney Medspa). Side-by-side images of Richards in 2012 and 2025 showcase that the star has fewer wrinkles today than when she was in her early 40s.
Dr. Brandon Richland acknowledges that Richards should now focus more on maintenance and not big facial changes. "She should definitely avoid over-filling the cheeks or lips, as that can start to make the eyes look smaller and create an unnatural silhouette on profile," he tells us exclusively. The surgeon suggests that Richards could benefit from some skin-improving procedures. "She has a great bone structure, so keeping the skin tight and the volume natural is the way to go," he tells us.
The surgeon stresses that a good transformation is one that goes under the radar. "My biggest takeaway from a transformation like hers is that plastic surgery is at its best when it remains a secret to the casual observer," the expert adds. "Kyle is a great example of how staging procedures over decades, rather than trying to do everything at once, can lead to a very graceful and refreshed appearance as you age."
