In the 2010s, plenty of celebrities explored filler injections, most notably using them to enhance their cheeks and lips. Nevertheless, as we entered the 2020s, many lip-filler-loving celebs decided that they'd had enough of the beauty trend.

Over the years, many stars have opened up about their lip filler journeys, which also included dissolving it once their lips became too pouty. Stars like Kylie Jenner and Ariana Grande have admitted that they went overboard with the popular injectable, sharing that they decided to get rid of it. And before and after photos of stars getting their fillers dissolved (in some cases, temporarily) showcase that all of them were left with a slightly more natural look.

Reality television star Kylie Jenner's lips played a significant role in her career, as they inspired her to launch her makeup empire, which began with Kylie Cosmetics lip kits. Back in 2015, Jenner admitted that she had gotten lip filler in a response to someone commenting on one of her Instagram posts. "She looks like the old Kylie here," they wrote, to which Jenner replied, "I got rid of all my filler" (via ABC News). Since then, Jenner's lips have gained and lost volume, but in 2026, it's clear that even if Jenner uses lip filler, it's nowhere near as much as she used to.

Pop star JoJo shared with her followers on TikTok in 2023 that she had decided to get rid of her lip filler because it had begun to migrate. "I didn't know it could do that ... Like, I thought it was just going to go away over time, you know?" the "Leave (Get Out)" singer admitted. "No, it got, like, lumpy underneath [my upper lip]." JoJo's lip filler was never very noticeable, which is why her lips don't look dramatically different after she dissolved it.

Photos of pop star Ariana Grande in 2018 and 2025 showcase just how much her face has changed in recent years. In a 2023 video for Vogue, the "Thank U, Next" singer revealed that the way she viewed injectables had changed. "I had a ton of lip filler over the years, and Botox. I stopped in 2018 because I just felt so — too much," Grande explained. "For a long time, beauty was about hiding for me and now I feel like maybe it's not." The Grammy Award-winning musician added that while she isn't completely against getting work done, she is trying to embrace aging.

When Anna Faris released her 2017 memoir, "Unqualified," the Hollywood star admitted that she used to get lip filler. "I started getting lip injections in my upper lip. I did it for a little bit, and I noticed a small difference," she explained, adding that her lips became so big the more she added that her friends encouraged her to stop (via iHeart). There is no denying that Demi Moore's daughters are absolutely gorgeous, and Tallulah Willis is one of them. In March 2024, Willis opened up about her filler dissolving journey on Instagram. "I recently got my filler dissolved — after being very emotionally and psychologically wrapped up in what I thought it gave me," she wrote, adding, "Still learning to dial back the futzing and the pokes and sit with myself as I am." Reality television star Molly-Mae Hague opened up about her lip filler dissolving journey to her followers in 2020 during a vlog shared on YouTube. "They've not been done for a long time but still that filler is ... rock hard and just thriving basically and it needs to go," the "Love Island" star admitted. Photos of Hague from 2019 and 2026 showcase a clear difference in the plumpness of her lips, with her pout looking much more natural after dissolving her filler.

Rapper Bhad Bhabie warned her Instagram followers against using fillers after years of being a fan of the injectable. "Dissolved all my filler," the star shared on her Instagram Story in April 2024 (via E! News). "Stop doing it unless you absolutely need it, it makes you look so much older and blocks [your] lymphatic draining system causing pillow face," she added. However, since then, Bhabie's lips have gained volume, so it is possible that she is using fillers again.

In the mid 2010s, "Friends" star Courteney Cox's use of facial fillers was undeniable. Years later, the actor opened up about her journey, revealing that she ended up dissolving them. "Luckily I was able to reverse most of that, and now I'm actually just older," Cox shared on the podcast "Gloss Angeles" in 2023. "I look at pictures of me when I thought I looked OK, and I can't believe it." Over the years, Cox's lips subtly changed, but after dissolving her fillers, the actor embraced a more natural look.

Actor and model Olivia Culpo has been very open about her lip filler journey. "I had my lips dissolved last week," the former Miss Universe revealed on Instagram Stories in April 2024 (via E! News). "I'm really happy the way they look now." In side-by-side pics of Culpo from 2022 and 2024, it's clear that her lips still looked noticeably full even with the filler dissolved. 

Rapper Black Chyna (real name Angela White) shared with her followers on Instagram in March 2023 that she was ready to dissolve her filler. "Enough is enough. It all has to come out. It's just as simple as that," the star said in the video. "First of all, I'm tired of the look, and it's just not flattering. It's just not what I look like ... I'm ready to get back to Angela."
