Alina Habba's Divorce From Ex Gregg Reuben Was Just As Lowkey As Their Relationship

In today's political landscape, many are curious about the women supporting President Donald Trump and their real-life partners, and as it turns out, one of them is freshly embracing singlehood after calling it quits with her second husband. Alina Habba, former Trump attorney and then senior advisor to Pam Bondi, filed for divorce from her husband of five years, Gregg Reuben, in February 2026. The two have largely kept their split under wraps, but the Daily Mail reported that they apparently separated in 2025 and have already settled their divorce in private.

To some, this split may not be too surprising. The pair didn't make many public appearances together during their marriage, and they limited including each other in social media posts. The last post of the two of them together was posted on Habba's Instagram in early December 2025. The image included the spouses standing inside the White House surrounded by Christmas decorations, though it looked like Habba was leaning away from Reuben. Habba's caption was wordless, consisting of only a Christmas tree emoji, which only further gave the impression that nothing substantial was left between the two.

What's more, Reuben didn't accompany his wife when she attended the Kennedy Center Honors that month, and he was silent as Habba resigned from her position as interim U.S. attorney for New Jersey just days later. If that weren't enough, a handful of days before Christmas, Habba posted a photo celebrating alongside her children and other loved ones with Reuben nowhere to be found. Definitely not a good sign!

Alina Habba's post-divorce life already looks a lot different

Alina Habba is no longer a political woman with an older partner, with the 41-year-old being newly single since divorcing 53-year-old Gregg Reuben, but what caused their split? Well, rumors have swirled that the breakup stemmed from Habba's constant schedule, with one source telling the New York Post that Reuben kept himself "very much in the shadows." Moreover, a source told the Daily Mail that Reuben "wasn't political," which would've naturally clashed with Habba's work.

In fact, the change in Habba's martial status has allowed her more time to focus on her political career. After her divorce and resigning from her position as the interim U.S. attorney for New Jersey, Habba relocated to Palm Beach, Florida, with her children, according to sources who spoke to the New York Post. This way, she'll be right in the middle of the Mar-a-Lago action (and the beach, of course).

Habba seems to be letting go and focusing on herself again after her breakup and may take the opportunity to share more insight into her personal life after moving. She's been active on social media regularly, even posting a photo on Instagram of her ringing in 2026 poolside with friends. Her return to singlehood looks like it inspired a change to her appearance as well. Habba has gotten rid of her short hair with blond highlights in favor of dark locks that fall below her shoulders, almost similar to Melania Trump but slightly darker.
