The 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards Were A Total Fashion Disaster
When it comes to award shows, the annual iHeartRadio Music Awards tend to give us fun, quirky, and stunning fashion moments. In fact, as a more laid-back award show, the red carpet never ceases to surprise, with stars exploring even further than they usually dare when it comes to their looks. However, because of this, the show is also known for fashion flops. In fact, we've already talked about the most inappropriate outfits in iHeartRadio Music Awards history, and the list is long.
Held on March 26, the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards also featured some inappropriate fashion and downright unfortunate looks, reminding us that the rich and famous clearly haven't learned much from the worst-dressed celebs at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. From lingerie-like fashion that failed to deliver, to forcing head-to-toe leather looks that simply didn't work, 2026 has shown us again how taking a fashion risk can backfire.
Nicole Scherzinger's black leather moment was too heavy (and a bit wrinkly)
Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger showed up to the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in an all-black leather number that would have benefited from numerous improvements. For one, the attire seemed stage costume-like, especially with the addition of the matching gloves. However, the main visual problem we're seeing is that the dress seems heavy and looks wrinkly. The material is weighing it down, and turning it into a mini dress would have been a much better choice. And with Scherzinger's legs, she can certainly afford a more fun and risky fashion moment.
Trisha Paytas channeled both Elphaba and Beetlejuice with her 'fit
When internet personality Trisha Paytas showed up to the red carpet of the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, it was impossible to ignore her. Rocking a look that seemed like it had been stolen from both Elphaba's and Beetlejuice's closets, Paytas confidently smiled for the cameras. The striped dress with green tulle, complete with an ombré green wig and house-shaped purse, was a ridiculous choice, but we have to give it to Paytas — her look was entertaining, and we couldn't look away.
Tinashe's skirt looked like a beach cover-up
"No Broke Boys" singer Tinashe looks fabulous no matter what she wears, but her 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards outfit left us underwhelmed. The singer walked the red carpet in a design by Marine Serre consisting of a black bodysuit and a colorful ruched skirt. Apart from the fact that the black top was too harsh a choice compared to the delicate skirt, the skirt also kind of looks like a beach cover-up. And the fabric we messily tie around our bottom to get some coverage in the sun isn't really red-carpet-worthy fashion.
Ravyn Lenae's look was poorly tailored and mismatched
Singer Ravyn Lenae really tried to give us something new with her fashion choice at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Unfortunately, the look didn't work, as her dress was too loose, the feathery skirt seemed impromptu, and the black gloves completely contrasted the vibe. Not to mention that the high-low dress trend is so early 2010s. Hopefully, the "Love Me Not" performer learned that sometimes a more simplistic approach is better, and having feathers on your shoulder is really not necessary.
Charlotte Lawrence's look drew inspiration from grandma's living room
Singer Charlotte Lawrence walked the red carpet of the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in a look that instantly reminded us of grandma's living room. It seemed as if the dress that Lawrence was wearing was heavily inspired by elements from grandma's space, like the texture of her curtains and the pattern of her couch,. Unfortunately, the lace and the colorful fabric didn't work well together either, and they failed to cover Lawrence's underwear.
Miley Cyrus' matching set looked like a chef's uniform
When it comes to fashion, pop star Miley Cyrus isn't afraid to rock it. However, that can easily backfire. We've already discussed Miley Cyrus' 2025 Oscars look which had heads turning for the wrong reasons, and her 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards look wasn't much better. The singer wore a black leather 'fit by Hermès consisting of pants and a top that pretty much looked like a black chef's jacket. The outfit lacked edginess, and considering that Cyrus is known for pushing boundaries, this was a boring choice.
Kehlani's corset cut her bust in odd ways
Musician Kehlani showed up to the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in a look consisting of a red corset top and black ballgown skirt with a dramatic thigh-high slit. In theory, this combination should have worked. However, in reality, the odd cut of the corset top ended up distracting from the "Folded" singer's beauty. The addition of asymmetrical pink detailing around the bust cut Kehlani's upper body in an unflattering way.
Kylie Cantrall's Y2K fashion moment needed a modern element
Y2K fashion is fun and all, but there is a fine line between rocking a modern version of the aesthetic and looking like a time capsule from the era. When actor Kylie Cantrall showed up to the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, she looked like the latter. The dress alone was a major reminder of the early 2000s. Had Cantrall combined her look with modern elements, it would have been a cute throwback. Instead, she paired it with floral heels and Bantu knots, taking us straight back to a time when cultural appropriation was unfortunately acceptable.
Teddi Mellencamp's dress shows why lingerie-like fashion is hard to pull off
There is no denying that "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Teddi Mellencamp looked beautiful at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. However, that does not mean that her 'fit was appropriate. The reality star walked the red carpet in a lingerie-like satin dress that could have easily been a slip nightgown. The look instantly reminded us of Melania Trump's inappropriate lingerie-like dress, which will always haunt her, and now Mellencamp has a version of her own.
Tori Spelling's corset dress looked like it was about to explode
Tori Spelling's complete transformation is astounding, but while the star knows plenty about fashion, she is still prone to a bad look. For the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Spelling wore a Walter Mendez Atelier design that was very intricate but a tad too revealing. The red gown featured a corset with sheer vertical panels and rosettes at the top. Spelling's bust looked like it barely managed to squeeze into the piece, and as much as we all love a good lift, there is such a thing as a too-tight corset.
