Sharon Osbourne's 'Ozempic Neck' Is Hard To Deny In Photos

With its rise in popularity in the early 2020s, weight-loss medication has taken Hollywood by storm. Many celebs have opened up about their journeys using Ozempic, Mounjaro, and others, as GLP-1 medications provide a relatively easy way to shed some pounds. One celebrity who admitted to using Ozempic is Sharon Osbourne, wife of the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, and mother of television personality Kelly Osbourne. Unfortunately, as Sharon was losing weight, she also experienced a very common side effect of the popular weight loss drug — the so-called "Ozempic neck."

Side-by-side images of Sharon in 2022 and 2026 clearly show that the star has joined the list of celebs who seem to have "Ozempic neck" after their weight loss. Taken just four years apart, the photos showcase how much her neck (as well as her face) has changed. Now, the star is experiencing droopiness and creasing, common with loss of volume due to GLP-1 medication. In 2026, we asked Dr. Jason Singh what exactly "Ozempic neck" is. "As a primary care doctor that prescribes GLP-1, I have noted 'Ozempic neck,' which is loose, crepey, sagging skin along the jawline and neck because of rapid, significant weight loss," the expert told us exclusively. "What's happening is that the volume is lost faster than the skin's intrinsic remodeling capacity can compensate."

Of course, Sharon is also 4 years older in the 2026 photo, and natural aging can also contribute to volume loss and sagging skin in the neck area, so we have to take that into consideration as well. In fact, Dr. Singh clarifies that "Ozempic neck" is more common in those over the age of 40, as the skin has a natural tendency to look older in that area.

Sharon Osbourne has admitted she lost too much weight on Ozempic

Back in 2024, Sharon Osbourne opened up about her usage of GLP-1 medication. "It's not a sin to use Ozempic if you have a weight problem, so why not talk about it?" the star said on the "Howie Mandel Does Stuff" podcast. Sharon, who began using Ozempic in 2022, admitted that she had been off the medication for a while, but was nevertheless still struggling to gain weight. "I can't put on weight now, and I don't know what it's done to my metabolism ... I think I went too far," Ozzy Osbourne's wife explained.

For The Guardian in 2024, Sharon shared a similar sentiment, admitting that she had lost too much weight, thanks to the medication. "I've finally become more accepting of my body, my looks. I'm through with the weight loss and all that cosmetic stuff," she said, adding, "I was injecting myself with Ozempic and I lost three stone in four months. Too much. I now weigh seven stone and can't put on weight."

Of course, Sharon's transparency surrounding her weight loss can help shed some light on the potential downsides of the medication, as well as what life after it can look like. While the star didn't outright say she regrets using it, it is clear that she is not happy with the aftermath of the medication. In Hollywood, many stars have visually transformed thanks to the popular injections; in fact, actor Kathy Bates' face has totally changed after her Ozempic-assisted weight loss.
