Sarah Huckabee Sanders Outfits That Were Total Flops
Most will remember Donald Trump's former first-term White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who has launched an obvious MAGA makeover over the years. It's reminiscent of the hard-to-believe MAGA transformations that we've seen on other notable right-leaning ladies. Think heavier makeup; longer, blonder locks; and signs of Botox and lip filler. Governor of Arkansas since 2023, Sanders' complete weight-loss transformation has also been noticed, and it's impressive. She hasn't confirmed whether she's hopped on the Ozempic train, but what is sure is that Sanders has remained steadfast in her commitment to hard-to-ignore and sometimes laughably bad outfits that have totally missed the mark.
Sanders' outfit flops run the garish gamut and tend to hit all the major fashion faux pas: ill-fitting and unflattering, loud prints that feel off and overbearing, and looks that are just plain inappropriate for the setting. Looks including a shapeless dress that's identical to a picnic tablecloth, a primary color clashing puffy-sleeved blouse and shorts 'fit, and a frilly dress fit for a preteen come to mind and invite some questions.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders' boxy blouse and tangerine shorts failed to flatter
To be fair, the color of the shorts Sarah Huckabee Sanders chose for July 4th in 2025 is a fun one. Who isn't all about juicy, dopamine dressing, especially in the summertime? But paired with this too-big blouse in blue 101, it creates a clash of colors that's jarring to the eye. More so, the embroidered design around the shirt's collar would be more at home on a pillow in a countryside B&B. The French tuck attempt is appreciated, but it wasn't enough to save this outfit. We wish both the blouse and the shorts were fitted a bit better and that she'd gone for a different color story.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders served picnic realness
Sarah Huckabee Sanders threatened to break the internet Kim Kardashian-style in March 2026 when she unveiled this number that takes the idea of a maxi dress to the next level. We love a farmhouse-chic gingham moment, but this outfit feels like it would land in the bottom three of a "Project Runway" "unconventional materials" challenge. Said materials: whatever you can grab from this family's park picnic. This is one of Sanders' most notable outfit flops. It's hard to know how it could've been saved, but the three-quarter sleeves and Apple watch certainly don't help matters.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders hit the snooze on this LBD
This black shift dress that Sarah Huckabee Sanders wore to Politicon back in 2019 isn't the worst thing ever, but it's just so boring and a total throwaway for what was once a high-profile event (Politicon has ceased its annual convention). Slip into a little black dress and you're primed to exude understated elegance, chicness, and allure, but this dated outfit — reminding us more of 2009 than 2019 — gives none of that. And the leopard-printed flats are ... odd. To give Sanders credit, she rocked a pair of nude pumps elsewhere during this outing, which were a much better choice.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders opted for a dress that screamed junior's department
On a campaign stop ahead of the 2022 Arkansas gubernatorial election, Sarah Huckabee Sanders opted for this blue and white dress replete with ruffles. It'd be kind of cute on a high schooler running for student council, but on a grown wife and mother, it fits the definition of a fashion flop. The androgynous allure and sophistication that tends to come from vertical pinstripes was effectively squashed by the design and shape of this dress. A pantsuit or pencil dress, or even a button-down with crisp jeans feels like it would've been more the vibe.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders bewildered in blue
On the count of rocking a shapeless shift dress that does her no favors at all, Sarah Huckabee Sanders is guilty, guilty, guilty. Worse, she's a repeat offender, as it seems to be her go-to silhouette. To be clear, not everything needs to be hip-hugging and waist-snatching, but fit is key, and there are better options. This cobalt dress with its floppy bell sleeves is a favorite; she's worn it more than once. Shout-out to public figures not being afraid to repeat looks. We just wish this particular look was more flattering.
Even pockets couldn't save Sarah Huckabee Sanders' red dress
Few girlhood moments are as joyful as when a woman exclaims, "And it has pockets!" when someone compliments her dress. It's less exciting when the pockets are oversized flat panels awkwardly placed at the hips. Such was the case with this red dress worn by Sarah Huckabee Sanders in January 2023. The color is okay, but it's hard not to notice how ill-fitting it is around the bust and elsewhere. Blame that one on the material, which is wrong for this cut and looks less-than-luxe for a woman who, according to Business Insider, earns more than $166,000 a year as the governor of Arkansas.
