While Cyrus herself never spoke about veneers, hers is among the celebrity smile transformations that were hard to miss. "In Miley's previous photos you can see marked crowding (overlapping of her front teeth) which has been corrected," Dr. Raj Juneja told Hello! in 2023. The expert added that judging from photos, it certainly seems as if Cyrus has undergone orthodontic work. But he added that Cyrus' updated smile is probably the work of more than just braces alone. The star has likely opted for veneers, possibly making her one of many celebrities who hopped onto the dental trend in the 2010s.

However, they are also often noticeable, especially if they seem too large, too white, or too even.

Fans began suspecting in 2025 that Miley Cyrus had decided to change her veneers, as her teeth became slightly smaller and more similar to her original ones. Photos of the star's smile in 2023 and 2026 once again showcase a difference in her teeth, and fans believe that the recent change is a positive one. The teeth the star had in the early 2020s often made it look as if she couldn't fully close her mouth. "Her teeth just make it look like her life is so uncomfortable all the time for her," a user wrote on Reddit in 2025.
By the mid-2020s, Cyrus' teeth seemed more proportionate to her mouth, and fans were thrilled about the change. "They look [so] much better, those other veneers were massive," a netizen commented on another Reddit post in 2025, with another user adding in the same thread, "She is glowing now! Crazy how much of a difference her teeth make." Apart from more natural-looking veneers, Miley Cyrus also embraced her naturally gummy smile — something many hide with the help of Botox.
