Cameron Diaz Quit Getting Botox And The Before & After Pics Are Stunning
There's almost an overwhelming amount of cosmetic tweakments available on the market these days. Whether you're interested in anti-aging treatments like peptide injections or needle-free alternatives to under-eye fillers, it seems there's now a solution to every potential skin problem. No one takes advantage of cosmetic tweakments more than celebrities, and honestly, it's not always for the better. We've seen what happens when they go wrong, but beloved actor Cameron Diaz forewent Botox altogether and she's never looked better.
She's now joined the ranks of celebs who regret their face tune-ups. Diaz returned to the screen after a staggering 10-year hiatus with a her project "Back in Action," which dropped on Netflix in January 2025. Her last major acting role had been in 2014 when she starred in "Annie." It seems the actor had quite a bit of time to reflect on the industry and let go of any treatments (like Botox) that didn't make her feel her best. Cameron Diaz's face transformation over the years really proves it — she's happier than ever now that she goes completely natural. Diaz even told Entertainment Tonight in a 2014 interview that Botox wasn't for her. In fact, she embraces her laugh lines. "I love it, I don't mind," she said. "It's like, 'Guess what this means, I've smiled my whole life.' I love life. I'm happy I don't have a problem with that."
When we look at photos of the star in her earlier acting days around 2008, her face looks gorgeous and entirely smooth, but you can tell in the snap on the right, taken in April 2026, that she lets her natural fine lines show through, and she's all smiles about it.
Cameron Diaz stopped getting Botox because it changed her face too much
Cameron Diaz has openly discussed her experience with Botox, telling Entertainment Tonight, "I've tried [Botox] before, where it was like [a] little tiny touch of something," she said. "It changed my face in such a weird way that I was like, 'No, I don't want to [be] like [that]' ... I'd rather see my face aging than a face that doesn't belong to me at all."
Diaz was well into her acting career at this point and, according to OK!, the star was apprehensive about getting such procedures. A source close to her told the magazine, "It's no secret Cameron used to get a little bit of work, just like everybody else in her industry she was under pressure to get Botox and all that stuff. But ... she swore off it years ago and it's really paid off because she looks fantastic and very natural, unlike a lot of her peers."
The source went on to credit Diaz's low-key lifestyle for her healthy glow. Her time out of the spotlight helped her ditch any notion that she had to have procedures, Botox, or fillers to be happy with her appearance. Diaz also keeps it light on makeup rather than bombarding her skin with products. She told Goop in 2022 that she uses makeup as a small enhancement now rather than completely covering up. "I've been wearing makeup every day for most of my life because of work, and it was really depleting to my skin," she said. "I always had a breakout. And since I stopped wearing a lot of it ... I like my skin much better."
