Paulina Gretzky's Most Inappropriate Outfits
As the daughter of legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky and wife of professional golfer Dustin Johnson, Paulina Gretzky is used to being in the spotlight. The mom, blogger, and entrepreneur is known for having a budding social media career of her own, but most famously, she's known for her daringly sexy outfits that she often posts on her Instagram account. While fans often praise her bold fashion sense in the comments, there are a few instances where her outfits were a bit of a miss rather than a hit.
One that comes to mind is Paulina Gretzky's inappropriate outfit at the 2022 Golf Invitational, where she wore quite a skimpy top and skirt. While Gretzky is certainly carving her own path in the fashion world, it's not a stretch to say that some of her outfits over the years leaned a little far into the inappropriate category. While she in no way made the list of the most inappropriate celeb outfits that were hard to look at, she has been seen wearing one too many options that left little to the imagination.
Paulina Gretzky's minidress barely covered what it needed to
In July 2024, Paulina Gretzky was seen out and about with her husband, Dustin Johnson, in Portofino, Italy, sporting the mini-est of minidresses with a pair of stiletto heels. This look brings to mind all the times Dakota Johnson dressed for revenge — it's very much on the daring side. When looking at all of Gretzky's wardrobe choices, extra-short seems to be her preference.
Granted, the two were there enjoying a vacation, and there's no strict dress code for that in any way. But according to The Sun, they were later seen taking a boat ride together, and the dress skirted a bit of a dangerous line between flirty and revealing. We're definitely not shaming Gretzky's choice to wear a shorter dress, but looking at the photos of their vacay, we have secondhand anxiety that a wardrobe malfunction is imminent every time she moves or steps on and off the boat. Add in factors like wind, and this outfit was a recipe for disaster.
Paulina Gretzky's top and skirt displayed every possible asset
Similar to Paulina Gretzky's revealing navy number at a 2022 golf tournament in Boston, this white tank and skirt may have been a tad inappropriate for the event. Gretzky was seen wearing it to the LIV Golf Invitational in Chicago in 2022 to support her husband, and the 'fit may have turned heads for the wrong reasons. The look revealed quite a bit both on the top and bottom, but Gretzky didn't seem to take issue with it.
Even more recently in 2025, Gretzky was seen on her social media wearing a similarly short skirt and very sheer tank top with no bra at an LIV Golf tournament in Miami. While she can certainly wear what she wants, it could be construed as distracting — especially if even sports-focused media outlets are reporting on her fashion choices for such events.
Paulina Gretzky's alarmingly short micro-dress
Paulina Gretzky's micro-dress at the 2021 Hublot Loves Art celebration in Miami made us the most nervous. While it at least helps that Gretzky wore a blazer over this particular number, she continued the same pattern of wearing an alarmingly short dress to an otherwise upscale event. Had the dress been even a few inches longer here, it would have been totally appropriate. But, alas, Gretzky continues to make some of the same mistakes.
In June 2025, Gretzky donned a short, largely see-through dress in photos with her husband on her Instagram account. While this was a personal photoshoot and Gretzky is allowed to wear what she wants, this is further proof that her motto is "the shorter the better." Again, women should wear what they feel most comfortable in, but she may want to think about toning it down a little for events that are a bit more high-caliber.
Paulina Gretzky's blue dress was oh-so sheer
The possibility of a nip (or pasty) slip here is extremely high with Paulina Gretzky's ultra-sheer dress. She was seen wearing this to the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in January 2013. While this look definitely continues her pattern of wearing very short dresses, the issue here is more on top than on the bottom this time.
The deep V-neck cut of the dress could already be perceived as inappropriate for a golf tournament since there's a lot of cleavage on display, but you can also very clearly see the outline of what (we hope) are pasties underneath the dress, too. There's nothing wrong with a good pair of pasties to help cover up certain assets, but the whole point of wearing them is so they're not seen underneath the dress.
This is another instance where Gretzky may have missed the mark. We have secondhand embarrassment after viewing these photos, but it appears that Gretzky was unfazed, as she continues to wear similar outfits. However, we have seen her wear longer outfits as time has passed. In April 2026, she wore a much more appropriate jumpsuit to the Par 3 Contest, where she caddied for her husband (via Fox News).
