Although we've all gotten used to seeing Pamela Anderson going makeup-free and looking flawless on the red carpet, she's not the only celebrity who isn't afraid to skip the cosmetics from time to time. Granted, not many have gone sans makeup on the red carpet the way Anderson has, but thanks to social media, more celebrities are leaning into authenticity. For some of those stars, that means revealing what their faces look like completely stripped down, without a stitch of makeup.

"For celebrities to age positively and also to go naked face, I think that wins them a lot of positive attention," Dr. Liz Conor, Principal Research Fellow in History at La Trobe University, told 9honey Style in 2024. The empowering decision to go without makeup is even more impactful when coming from celebrities who have the resources to appear in full glam all the time — if they wanted to. 

It's always refreshing to see our favorite stars without makeup, and many of them look even more radiant when bare faced, as full-coverage makeup doesn't always work well with mature skin. Because aging skin is naturally on the dry and delicate side, even the faintest of fine lines can be amplified with foundation, making you look older than you are. If you're thinking of going into your golden years without makeup, there are several celebrities in their 60s who can provide inspiration.

Although Michelle Pfeiffer has been super busy lately, promoting "Margo's Got Money Troubles" and "The Madison," she still had time to take this selfie with her husband, David E. Kelly, in May 2026. Moore simply glows without makeup, and we could easily see her pulling a Pamela Anderson and sporting a bare face on the red carpet.

In a culture so bent on women not getting older, it takes a ton of confidence to post not just a photo of yourself without makeup, but also one in which you're suffering from jet lag, like Sharon Stone was in this mirror selfie from February 2026. However, Stone has always done things her way, and we love that for her. "I don't believe makeup and the right hairstyle alone can make a woman beautiful," Stone once said, via Vogue Adria. "The most radiant woman in the room is the one full of life and experience." Based on how stunning she looks, even when jet lagged, Stone is right.

Brooke Shields may have just turned 60 just last year, but like the rest of the women on this list, she's embracing her age with grace and style.
