Pics Of Priscilla Presley Before & After She Found Her Iconic Red Hair Hue

Priscilla Presley has been a fashion icon for over half a century, and her hair journey over the years has played a significant part in her notable style evolution. Just a teenager when she met Elvis Presley, Priscilla first dazzled the king of rock 'n' roll with her natural dark brown hair color. She stuck to her brunette roots as she blossomed into adulthood, but it wasn't long before she began experimenting with different shades. Following the jet-black hair color she rocked in the early days of her marriage to Elvis, Priscilla spent the late '60s and early '70s with a deep, black cherry shade that would end up becoming her signature color, though not until decades later. In the photo on the left, Priscilla is seen with brunette locks in 1983, as she dabbled in blond and caramel browns throughout the '80s, '90s, and into the early 2000s. She eventually found her way back to red, as seen in the photo on the right, taken in 2022. For two decades, she has sported the deep merlot shade that contrasts perfectly with her blue eyes and porcelain skin, and the recognizable red color has since become a staple of Priscilla's iconic style.

Just as Priscilla Presley's life has been full of remarkable highs and lows, her hair journey has been a wild ride. The "Dallas" actor has tried out every hair color throughout her career from warm golden shades to hues of rich auburn, deep brown, strawberry blond and even more. The photo on the left shows Priscilla in 1980, three years after Elvis' death in August 1977. After saying goodbye to her life with the "Suspicious Minds" singer, Priscilla also bid farewell to her old hair color, adopting a warm shade of light caramel brown. She experimented with several dark blond and brunette colors throughout the '80s, and famously had light blond, golden-toned hair while starring in the 1988 film "The Naked Gun." Meanwhile, in the photo on the right, Priscilla opted for one of her funkiest hair colors, which she still pulled off with ease. The picture from the early aughts shows her with a skunk stripe style, made up of bleach-blond streaks contrasted with brunette stripes. She sported the fun, multi-color look while attending a VH1 benefit concert in Las Vegas in May 2003, and it was one of her last blond and brunette moments before going back to red in 2004.
