In her caption, Rimes shared some heartfelt words about the resilience in her marriage to Cibrian, writing, "We've been through so much in our 15 years as husband and wife. we know how to ride the waves 🌊, hold each other in times of need, mend what needs mending. i'm so proud of what we have created together." Rimes is the proud step-mother of Cibrian's two sons with Brandi Glanville: Mason Edward and Jake Austin. During a May 2026 appearance on the "Today" show she stated that she is already "satisfied" with her current family dynamic and her role as a step-mom.
