Celeb Couples That Survived Affair Scandals
Celebs, they're just like us. They show us how to look fresh-faced when you don't have makeup but still want to do a little shopping, and they sometimes cheat and get cheated on. Ubiquitous as infidelity may be, it hurts to be betrayed in that way, and it's humiliating. At least for those not in the public sphere, the embarrassment is usually contained to the friend group. But for famous folk — used to whispers around their relationships, whether we're side-eyeing the "we're just friends" script or gawking at celebs who got married later in life — cheating scandals can reverberate across timelines everywhere.
Some people are one-and-doners: cheat and that's the end of that. But others, celeb couples included, figure out how to navigate around the storm and move forward in their relationships. Dave Grohl had a baby outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum, Adam Levine was sliding into DMs while in a relationship with Behati Prinsloo, and, of course, messy affair rumors haunt Beyoncé's marriage with Jay-Z. Still, these couples and others are still walking hand-in-hand.
Adam Levine sent 'flirtatious' messages while married to Behati Prinsloo
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and model Behati Prinsloo have been married since July 2014 and have three kids — two girls and one boy – but their relationship hasn't been without turbulence. The model and the musician is a classic, and so too, sadly, is less-than-monogamous behavior. In 2022, influencer and model Sumner Stroh alleged, in a since-deleted TikTok video, that she'd had a year-long affair with Levine. And Stroh had receipts. She shared a screenshot of DMs between the two, as reported by Business Insider. A pair of messages from Levine's account read, "It is truly unreal how f***ing hot you are. Like it blows my mind." In another wild message from Levine, he asks Stroh how she feels about him naming his third, soon-to-be born son after her.
Levine admitted to sending the messages (he didn't have much choice, did he?), but denied any intimate physical contact with Stroh. Levine provided a statement to TMZ that read, in part, "I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life." In a follow-up video, Stroh doubled down and said she'd spoken out because a friend was threatening to sell the story to the tabloids, and she wanted to get ahead of it.
Jay-Z's affair inspired one of Beyoncé's biggest albums
Widely considered to be hip-hop royalty, Jay-Z and Beyoncé have been together since around 2000. The pair wed in 2008 and have three children, but their relationship hasn't been a total fairy tale. In May 2014, TMZ and other outlets got hold of security camera footage showing Beyoncé's sister Solange kicking and whaling on Jay-Z while the three were in an elevator at a Met Gala after-party. From there, rumors started to swirl that Jay-Z was having an affair and that Solange was defending her older sister's honor; some speculated that the other woman in question was designer Rachel Roy. Roy denied the allegations.
Beyoncé cheekily addressed the fight in the 2014 remix of her song "Flawless," singing, "Of course, sometimes sh** go down when there's a billion dollars on a elevator." But the public really got confirmation that Jay-Z cheated when Beyoncé released the visual album "Lemonade" in 2016, a surprise drop that nearly broke the internet. The project was almost entirely dedicated to the infidelity and the aftermath. Jay-Z also addressed the unfaithfulness in his music, notably in his 2017 album "4:44." He also sat down with The New York Times in November 2017, saying, "We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together ... The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone's face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself."
Dave Grohl had a baby with a woman who wasn't his wife, Jordyn Blum
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum have been married since August 2003. They have three daughters together, and in a statement posted to his Instagram in September 2024, Grohl shockingly announced that he'd recently welcomed a fourth baby girl — but not with Blum. The statement read, in part, "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
Page Six reported in February 2025 that the mother of Grohl's love child is a woman named Jennifer Young, who apparently confirmed to the outlet that she gave birth to Grohl's baby on Aug. 1, 2024, but declined to share the name of the baby "because there's some really angry fans." A source told People for a September 2025 article, "It was just a shock for Jordyn. Her first instinct was that she wanted a divorce. The betrayal was too heavy. But as weeks passed, she got some space to think and it just felt very sad to her if the family would split up."
Kevin Hart cheated on his wife, Eniko Parrish, in Las Vegas
Actor and comedian Kevin Hart has been married to his wife Eniko Parrish since 2016. The couple shares two children; Hart has two others from his first marriage. In September 2017, Hart posted a video to his Instagram that seemed to insinuate that someone was attempting to blackmail him with a video of him cheating on his then-pregnant wife while partying in Vegas. The post was captioned, "Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids. I gotta do better and I will. I'm not perfect and have never claimed to be ... I love you all." In the video Hart said he put himself in a precarious environment and opted to admit his wrongdoings rather "allow a person to have financial gains off of my mistakes."
After refusing to pay the extortionist, the sex tape was released revealing that Hart had stepped out on his wife with model Montia Sabbag, as reported by TMZ and other outlets. In a 2021 Father's Day episode of "Red Table Talk," Hart spoke with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith about the hurt that his infidelity caused his family. In the third episode of the Netflix docuseries "Kevin Hart: Don't F–k This Up", Parrish said that someone sent her the video. She said, "Immediately I just lost it. I called him, I'm crying, I'm like p***ed. He publicly humiliated me" (via ABC News). Ultimately, she chose to forgive him and commit to moving the family forward.
