In July 1980, Vãnia Nonnenmacher gave birth to two of her six daughters in Horizontina, Brazil. She and husband Valdir Bündchen named the twins Gisele and Patricia. The baby girls, pictured here with their mother, had two older sisters, and she would go on to have two more daughters after the twins. Gisele has frequently shared how close she is with her family, including her mother, who passed away from cancer in 2024.

Gisele Bündchen religiously posts Instagram tributes to her parents on their birthdays, often adding throwback pics from her childhood in Brazil.
