Hallmark Stars Over 50 Who Are Aging Like Fine Wine

The Hallmark Channel may get a lot of ribbing for its cookie-cutter catalog — who knew Christmas romcoms were such a major genre? — but there's no denying that this network has built an incredible roster of acting talent. Mystery, drama, romance — you name it, and Hallmark's stars will perform it with camp and panache. Better yet, there's a diversity of ages among the channel's regular cast, including many mature women whom we've had the privilege to watch over decades of film work.

While older women don't always get the recognition (or the roles) they deserve in Hollywood, the Hallmark Channel features plenty of recognizable faces in the 50+ age bracket. And we have to say, these ladies are looking good. Some famous older women never seem to age, and it seems this includes the Hallmark lineup — from Lori Loughlin to Jane Seymour, many of the channel's core stars are maturing with enviable grace.

Lori Loughlin's beauty stood the test of time

Playing Aunt Becky on the iconic '90s sitcom "Full House" was enough to make Lori Loughlin a household name, but Hallmark Channel fans will also recognize the star from the long-running Hallmark show "When Calls the Heart." Whether you know Loughlin from her breakout role or more recent work, there's no denying that she's looking great, transitioning from ingénue to experienced actor with fierceness and polish. Our favorite part of her modern look? After years of long hair, Lori Loughlin has returned to a voluminous bob, which suits her perfectly.

Andie MacDowell has become a bona fide silver fox

Andie MacDowell first cracked Hollywood through major releases like "Groundhog Day," but she's since gone on to curate an impressive run of Hallmark Channel movies like "The Beach House," "Dashing in December," and "At Home in Mitford." In each role, this star has always been a unique beauty, but we are simply living for her current silver fox era. From mahogany curls to flowing silver tresses, Andie MacDowell's gorgeous gray hair transformation has been one for the record books, showcasing that brunettes shouldn't fear a few white strands here and there. Instead, we should all follow her lead by transitioning to gray the right way: with a little patience and products that embrace any incoming silver.

Holly Robinson Peete looks better than ever

Holly Robinson Peete has been a force in entertainment since the 1980s, racking up credits like "21 Jump Street" and "Hanging with Mr. Cooper." Given this, it's no surprise that the Hallmark Channel scooped her up for projects like "Christmas in Evergreen" and "Holiday Heritage" — especially since Peete's beauty seems mysteriously untouched by time. Comparing Peete's then-and-now red carpet snaps, we'd almost swear she's aging backwards, like an extra-glamorous Benjamin Button. This ageless allure has helped Peete become one of the Hallmark Channel's mainstay performers, appearing in 15 Hallmark films (and counting).

Jane Seymour is still a sparkling presence

Jane Seymour may be one of Hallmark's most mature stars, but she's also one of the network's most timeless. From her iconic turn in "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" in the '90s to building an impressive Hallmark Channel repertoire with titles like "The Twelve Dates 'Til Christmas," Seymour has retained her signature spark — and her enviable caramel-red hair, which is apparently a shade called "gold-dust bronde."

Beyond a little hair dye now and then, Seymour says she's never used age-defying tricks like fillers or surgery. As she told House Beautiful in 2023, "I'm not pretending that I'm not my age, I just like to look the healthiest version that I can." Natural techniques are definitely fair game — for instance, Jane Seymour uses frozen spoons for a well-rested appearance. Now we just need the rest of her regimen, and we'll be all set for the next few decades.

Barbara Niven has achieved effortless glamour

A Hallmark Hall of Famer, Barbara Niven is another of the network's stars who only seems to get more beautiful with each passing year. Back in the day, she leaned into the blond bombshell look, even appearing as Marilyn Monroe in 1998's "The Rat Pack." But if you ask us, her current hair color — a beautifully pale shade with only subtle hints of blond — feels like the meant-to-be hue she was reaching for all along. Her lighter touch of cosmetics is also a win, making the "Love Takes Flight" actor feel effortlessly elegant.

Beth Broderick is enjoying her transition into mature beauty

Many Millennials first fell in love with Beth Broderick as quirky Aunt Zelda in "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." In Hallmark Channel films like "Holiday Mismatch" and "When I Think of Christmas," the actor shows off both her enduring comedy chops and her impeccable cheekbones, which continue to stun. In general, Broderick looks fantastic, a beauty that feels all the richer for her thoughtful approach to aging. In her podcast, "Beth Broderick: Wit and Wisdom for the Ages from the Aged," the actor mused in 2024, "We are all doing what we can, all hoping to outsmart Father Time and retain a youthful essence. That said, it is also important to enjoy getting older. ... For the foreseeable future, I am going to enjoy being 'old' old me."
