Supermodel Christy Turlington Is Aging Like Fine Wine & These Pics Prove It

Christy Turlington is one of those OG supermodels you probably wouldn't recognize today. And, not because the supermodel's look has change drastically, but simply because she lives a very different life now. The peak of her fame came in the late '80s and '90s, and the work that she did at the time paved the way for a younger generation of models. While Turlington worked quite a bit then, she later took a step back from modeling in 1994 to pursue an education in New York. Even years later, it's easy to see that Turlington is still thriving after making that choice. While she does still model sometimes, she's now a lot more selective about the jobs she takes. What's even more striking is that Turlington is aging like fine wine. She's somehow even more beautiful than she was at the height of her career.

The photo on the left was taken of Turlington in 1990 for a Vogue shoot and the photo on the right was taken in 2025. We love that she's now even allowing a few of her gray hairs to peek through. Much like Sharon Stone, who has mastered the art of a subtle gray hair transition, Turlington isn't afraid to show her age, and we love that.

Christy Turlington has always come across as refreshingly down-to-earth for such a prominent supermodel. That attitude has followed her through her entire career, especially now that she's in her 50s and more selective about the projects she chooses to participate in. In a February 2026 interview with Harper's Bazaar, she talked about why it matters to feel secure — no matter what decade of your life that you're in. "I think it's important to embrace every age, right?" she said. "The alternative is not that exciting, so staying optimistic and trying your best to be your best self at any time in your life is a good way to live ... I never really feel or think of myself as younger — if anything, there are some days when I might feel older. But I feel exactly where I'm supposed to be."

This also goes hand-in-hand with her beauty philosophy. While Turlington is one of the celebs who proudly show off their gray hair, she doesn't like to be overly focused on outward appearances — which might seem ironic for a supermodel, but we absolutely love it. She said as much to British Vogue in 2014. "You know, all these sentiments about beauty coming from within, they've always resonated when I've read them, but it takes a bit of living to truly appreciate them," she mused. "To realize we are so much more than our experiences, that we are who we are because of the lessons we've learned, now that's what true 'beauty' is for me."
